Just the fact that this woman didn't understand that it was her fault is frightening. If you don't have a dash cam you can use your mobile phone and record that way, it's great for short trips around town.

Hey idk if any producers will actually see this comment but I wanted to say that I THOROUGHLY enjoy the “After The Case” segments. Seeing the Judge’s true thoughts on the case is extremely interesting! And I also love that Harvey is answering simple law questions for free at the end. I think that helps a lot more ppl than you think!

Her cop friends probably lied on the police report to make it no fault and that’s why the insurance refused to pay. He can describe the badges he saw and she say she has none. Sounds like bs and she probably said it cause some shady shit was done behind the scenes

The plaintiff was a real gentleman, very elegant speaking and I totally believe him. The plaintiff sounded like she was use to getting her way, and when she said "I don't have brass", well, ya kinda know that she DID, no doubt. Bet she knew someone who knew someone, that kind of thing...she looked the type.

This case is cut and dry. I believe the plaintiff throughout the case. The defendant was at fault and she had to pay up 🍞

I am absolutely curious as to why the Plaintiff saw not one, but three badges, and even noted two were brass, and one chrome. Honestly, I would have found out what the guy with her did for a living. Pity he didn't have video, or a statement from one of the attending cops. I would love to have been able to check her purse, and her car too. It's very likely she was lying.

I've had people speed up in the left lane just to pull in front of me to make a right turn(right lane), and then they throw on their brakes. Never understood why people do that, especially if no one is behind my vehicle.

It cracks me up that these judges get mad at people for not understanding stuff like being capped at blue book value. Like just calmly explain it. It's like they forget that unless you study law or watch shows like these it's not common knowledge. Also while I agree the guy probably sped up to prevent her from coming over he has the legal right to do that. It sucks and it's aggrivating but it be that way.

First time I have to say the judge was wrong. A Mercedes that's more than 25 years old is a classic. You can't just go to a Mercedes dealership to get replacement parts for a front & back bumper, and two doors for a vehicle from 1990. He got robbed, but what a man, right? He was satisfied just to hear that he was not at fault and took the loss.

In what world does a car try crossing lanes and hits a car whose already in the lane, and the the car who was already in the lane is at fault 😂

That defendant is as entitled as they come. She's corrupt and did flash some badge that influenced the cop...and they say such corruption only exists in developing countries. I think the Judge had some idea what went on but overlooked it. The plaintiff is not stupid.

I had a similar situation when I argued basically that the other guy in the lane I went into "should've allowed me in". NOPE! He had the "right of the lane". No matter what happens, even a driver suddenly speeds up, you have to avoid the accidents. This is my home of LI, NY, and that road aggression is very common. As a side note, the woman's nervous answer of "I don't have brass" (??) proved she's BSing. A big thing here on LI is using all kinds of PD stickers and cards. It gets them nowhere.

I have to say... I have seen that happen plenty of times . I have seen people get all bent out of shape and speed up when someone passes and wants to get over into their lane

From her description she was to close to the intersection to do any lane changing, that's a ticket right there

signal wait for the driver to let you in then give a wave of thanks. It's pretty simple. But if you signal and bully or bud your way in many drivers speed up to not let you. Then the BS happens. SMH

It's really obnoxious when someone has a newer, more expensive car and they shit on the older, cheaper car. As if that makes any difference. If you hit someone's car, you should pay. Even if it's an old beater. I think people just like to flex...🙄

She’s full of baloney. She wasn’t looking and turned into his lane; the front of her car comes in contact with the body of his car; causing those side swipes on his car and front scratches on her passenger side. If he was “far” away like she said and sped up, he would have hit her on the back or on the side, and no way his car would have those side swipes, plus his car would have damages to the front.

I think the plaintiff is hard of hearing and thats the reason why the judge was speaking louder. At 06:50, he was leaning forward like he was trying to hear what the judge was saying.

I don't know why judge milan is scoffing about it. Every day at least one person speeds up as soon as my blinker indicates my need to merge. It's like some people take it as a personal attack. Like having to slow down for five seconds is somehow going to ruin their lives. How dare I try to merge into another lane, they're too important to consider your needs

Just because a car is very old doesn't make it an antique, nor a collectable, it has to be declared a collection car and has to be renovated and on the list of 'collectable cars', plus the insurance is not at all the same...
