"My brother from another mother." I have a 2015 cb1100. Nobody wanted them in the USA. I picked mine up in Mississippi for $5300 with 1200 miles. Loved it so much I bought a second cb1100 as a back up bike. Bike is great for tall ppl if u tweak the seat to bench style. Downside is engine heat in high temps. Not sure i would want it in thailand stop-n-go. I will be signing up as a member once Google helps me recover my password!

I was surprised by Zeus customs, the bikes looked interesting, but they could have been taken care better of their site, the amount of dust did not look like the patina of a bygone era, but more someone letting standards slip. Your next stop 'A' Square was much more in keeping with someone who understands business and presentation, blown away by the layout. This epsiode has too many nice bikes but that Indian scout was very special indeed. Great video.

1st post seems to have gone missing... There's a Bike clothing shop called Paddock on Ratchadaphisek Rd just north of Huai Khwang MRT. Good selection there and I think they have a facebook page. As for Big Bikes, there's little point having anything over a 650cc. You can't use the extra power excess of a 650 unless you no longer value your own life. Similarly the potholed roads make naked and ADV style bikes a better option than sportsbikes or cruisers. But many people only buy a big bike for their own ego... I'd love a Diavel 😁
@Rides4Kickz
@Rides4Kickz Год назад
I'd agree with most of that, longer suspension travel and chunkier tires are definitely your friend here. I've ridden some liter plus bikes here and would like to think I used the power, although it was not necessary to have that much.

Might not be practical living in a condo in Southeast Asia unless there’s some sort of outlet that they would let you pay for charging? An electric motorcycle wouldn’t be for everybody but I rode one. They’re pretty incredible. I like their dual sport model. Nothing to do with Indian. It are polaris bikes, if you stick an old bought name on it it doesn’t become an old brand. Indian went out of business in the 50’s, everything was liquidated.

hi lucas i dont often comment on vloggs but i have a question and value your opinion, i am a large person 125kg and wondered what or which motorbike you would recommend on a budget, i have rode automatic scooters but not geared motorbikes, and am considering getting a motorbike to keep at my girlfriends to use on my vaccations, i liked the look of GPX legend in one of your vloggs, but wondered if getting a second hand bike was worth considering, probably a bit of a gamble as my mechanical knowledge is limted, so open to buying a mule if its all shiny and looks sounds good, or should i stick to automatic scooter prob pcx or similar style large style scooter also would occasionaly have a pillion so i guess suspension would be a big factor, thanks for sharing this and all your vloggs, cheers

@Rides4Kickz Год назад
I never really recommend automatic scooters as there are many faults with them but expats here seem to love them. Yeah, maybe a standard type small bike in the 200-300 cc range. You can get a decent used one from 50k and up which would be the same price of a new scoot. Just stay away from higher mileage or older used ones and you should be ok.

Great vid. I was wondering if you can confirm for me that the prices on new bikes is ALL IN. Back home you can easily add 15-20% to the price with taxes and documentation fees as well as PDI. Thanx.
@Rides4Kickz
@Rides4Kickz Год назад
Yes, excellent question, the price advertised includes tax, license and dealer prep etc. It does not include and aftermarket accessories which may be already bolted on, like in the case of the Indian Scout I looked at with the bags etc., and it does not include delivery anywhere, that price is for taking delivery at the dealership.
@Roof_Pizza
@Roof_Pizza Год назад
@@Rides4Kickz Excellent, thanks. The prices seemed similar to hime bur with dealer prep and taxes and the better exchange rates Thai manufactured bikes are ~20% cheaper out the door. Thanks again.

Great looking bikes. Can foreigners buy new bikes or used bikes with no problem? I am sure they sell the 135 or 150 cc.

I really do not like the light brown leather on the Indians. I think it makes the bike look cheap. Black or dark brown would look better to my eyes. That Scout is a nice looking bike. I liked the Moto Guzi too. I'm a poor old retired guy so I guess I'll have to stick with my old worn out Harley bagger . Thank you for the trip. Stay safe

Hi Lucus, sorry nothing to do with your video, but a question, can you recommend a good place to get some casual 'howaiian' type shirts made in Pattaya? I've noticed you're had a few casual shirts made, just wondering where you recommend..? Looking at Western XXL size. Any help would be great cheers

As long as you are under way the gear here is venelated good but sitting still it gets hot quick.

I assume the import tax for bikes is the same as cars? What bikes are manafactured in Thailand ? I’d never pay massive import fees for a particular brand
@Rides4Kickz
@Rides4Kickz Год назад
Yeah, having final assembly done in Thailand lowers the price quite a bit. But even with the large Japanese manufactures like Honda and Kawasaki, some of the models are assembled here and others are assembled in Japan, so it's a mixed bag.
@andrewmack2161

They make a lot of bikes there. IIRC almost all Triumphs, a lot of 650 Kawasakis and 650 or750 Hondas, Ducati, and BMW (F900GS I think). There's also quite a lot of scooters made there as well.
