This is the budget for me and my family while relocating to Thailand. We have calculated that by sticking to even the high end of this budget, we will save more than half of our current budget!
How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in the same boat as you (I think about same age, I’m 37). I’m downsizing and getting rid of a lot of my mid (early) life crisis purchases. I thought i wanted the fancy condo and nice cars and it really didn’t bring me any extra happiness it only complicated my life and felt like a bit of an anchor. I plan on making the move to Thailand in 3 or 4 years. Have to get a couple more rental properties to feel good about leaving my job. Good luck I’ll be following your journey!
@@justincruz8352 I agree 100% I’m 42 I’m starting the downsizing already Sold the Lamborghini, sold the FL house, still have items I need to downsize (the biggest being my current house luckily no mortgage, and the businesses) But our goal is to buy RE properties and use the income as a “retirement” income Not ready to retire, but defiantly want to be financially free and be ABLE to retire So yes we are in a very similar boat!!
@@Family_Thais yeah I probably won’t retire but I at least want the option. Maybe go back and work a few months a year. Looking at buying some property through a company called rent to retirement. They did a podcast with bigger pockets that was pretty good. Worth checking out. They find the deals and have property management in place. Turnkey
Hey, I thinking of making the move myself too. I have an 8 month old and was considering ekkamai international school. Wasc accredited and inexpensive. I found that the for profit international schools are mostly hype and marketing. The prices they charge are comparable to US prices. I am thinking of moving in 2-3 years.
@@frijoles999 best of luck!! Let’s definitely stay in touch There is something to be said for the high prices. They do tend to have a great schooling experience They lay their teachers more, therefore recruiting more experienced and more accredited teachers. However… that doesn’t mean your child can’t have a superb education experience at a more affordable school I’d say your a bunch of schools in order to make a choice. Price is definitely a huge factor to consider though. I myself, have not made up my mind I went to R.I.S. as a child in middle and high school and had just an amazing experience. But times change and locations also a factor. I don’t want to be that far out. So many things to consider
