Mr T taxis only charge 1,200 baht from the airport to outside your hotel in Pattaya. It takes less than one and a half hours, with no messing around on trains, buses, baht buses, humping cases and long walks between. If there are 2 or 3 of you it's obviously cheaper. I know what I would pick.

I took taxis once in a while because I go back and forth from Pattaya to BKK every month. Can’t pay 2500THB every month. 😊

@@jomontanee I do it only when I come on holiday. It saves humping luggage all over the place. Plus it takes 2 planes and 16 hours from Newcastle via Dubai, can't be arsed to start getting trains and buses.

Another great tip is that you can take the sky train from the airport. It's so cheap compared to a taxi plus the toll fees. You just take the escalator downstairs and it connects to the main BTS Sky Train network. So you can avoid the hustle with taxi drivers and tolls etc.. It's so relaxing compared to working out a taxi ride. I just take the sky train from the airport to sukhumvit lol

You showed us every step like a dummy guide from Bangkok to Pattaya, nice. The reality is those minibuses kill people all over the world they are death traps if there is an accident and you know Thailand... I personally would always wait for the big bus.

The mini vans are a very definite NO No NO...its a very drawn out way to get to pattaya..while they deliver and pick up parcels ,also pick ups and drop offs of other passengers and family of the driver..hes on the phone all the time ,orgainising all the pickups etc..

Yeah, I have had that before, but I have also had ones that had no stops.. cool thing to do in the van is ask to sit in the front, way more comfortable.. and a seatbelt haha

I told my cab driver to get off the blower as all he did was yap on his mobile with no hands free. The roads are deadly enough without him being distracted. Luckily he understood and did what i asked.

me and my friend got the mini bus man. hate it so much. never again the second time I when I make sure it was big bus. on mini bus guy in front of me was sweating bucket lol the aircorn didn't work. lucky my work

Tried the big bus from Bkk to Pattaya. Managed to get off at the wrong stop on the main highway before the bus station. 😮 Had to use a motorbike taxi to my hotel. Crazy ride with a large suitcase jammed between me and the driver plus a backpack on my back. hanging on to the suitcase and bike for dear life! 🤬💀

I always take the back seat on the Pattaya bus from my BKK home too! Enough room for working on the bus (great wi-Fi every where). The funny thing is taxis from Ekamai don’t take locals, they always wait for the foreign tourists and GRAB or BOLT charged for 400THB to my BKK home!! So I just found out last month that I could turn right 20 metres from the terminal and took BTS train right to my front yard!! Only 44THB and 30 mins!! Gee I had been so stupid! 😂😂

@@keisone only two trains leaving Bangkok Hua Lam Phong stn 6.30am and 6.55am, which is way too early. But the two return trains from Pattaya stn at 2.20pm & 4.20pm back to Bangkok are quite ideal.

Minivans can have reckless drivers who love to speed. A few years ago eleven people died when a minivan from Pattaya to Bangkok crashed. The driver had been doing non stop Bangkok Pattaya runs for 12 hours. Edited: the incident I mentioned was in 2016 where 11 people died, not 15. If you google minivans Pattaya to Bangkok, you will find numerous fatal accidents.

When you were about to tell how you managed to pay less I thought you were about to sponsor some fishy vpn ahah! Anyway i've booked my hotel for when i'll be in BKK for a night in Pattaya (but I suppose I'll go more since i'll stay a month) in January/February you think your "trick" can work? The price is amazing is what I paid booking so much in advance but yours looks much better than the one I booked, mine it's very close to the beach rd and 5 minutes walking from the walking street which i took as "landmark" to book the hotel. Which area would you suggest that is good for beach, nightlife and also to take the ferry to Ko Larn?

Awesome price😱😱😱😱😱😱 im never motivated enough after the long flight to find a bus and end up getting ripped off paying around 1600baht for an airport taxi, that hotel room was an absolute bargain, ive paid more than double that in the past for a room about the same size with older decor and noisey aircon. i have to check out sailor bar thats so cheap 👍👍

I prefer taking The Airport Link to Suwah Airport and bus from there to avoid sitting on city streets from Ekkamai to the highway. Especially on the way back there's traffics.

It's the Ekkamai Bus Terminal @ 928 Sukhumvit Rd. You can take the sky train and get off at the Ekkamai stop. From there it is a short walk.

My wife and me went with the the mini van stunt driver option Thinking was upgrade lol Wow all i can say about the ride. Just remember if you got Luggage book extra seat! dropped us off at the mall on Beach road then 20 baht to the LK The Empress on the blue truck. cost was 14 dollars. 2 1/2 hours stopped a lot.

I took the mini bus today cause they talked like they would get me close to my hotel. In truth… the big bus would have been closer. They yelled at me and threw me out on the street. I really hated the whole experience and tbh my Thailand trip has been tough all over… My trip took three hours btw. With many stops. It felt like I’d gotten in someone’s uncle’s van and then random relatives and friends got picked up at random places. I swear. I would caution everyone … especially solo female travelers … not to take that absolutely awful bus. I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. Not just the ride. The overall treatment. Can’t wait to be back in Japan. Way way way better.
