Udom Suk Market may not be first on any Bangkok tourist's bucket list of things to see in the Thai capital. However, this traditional Thai fresh food market offers adventurous travellers a chance to experience a more authentic and local side of Bangkok life.
Located in Eastern Bangkok, Udom Suk is only a 15 minute skytrain ride from the Siam interchange in the busy downtown area. The market is in a covered side-street underneath the Udom Suk station. Like much of Bangkok, the area is developing rapidly and has more recently become known as the place to catch the free shuttle bus to the huge Mega Bang Na shopping mall which is home to Thailand's first Ikea store.
I shot this video on a DJI Osmo Pocket. It was the first time I'd used it but was pleased with the way it handled the low-light conditions in the market.
