First of all, thank you. The restaurant you have visited is the most popular and crowded restaurant in Sylhet. Food prices here are comparatively low and very good quality food is available. From the video I understood that vlogging here is a bit difficult because here there are so many people that it becomes tough to vlog. Still, it's great to see that you've been able to continue vlogging. There are many more beautiful places if you want to you can take a street walk in Sylhet. The people of Sylhet are 25 times more sincere than the people of Bangladesh. Finally, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks so much for your comment, it was definitely the busiest restaurant we've tried to vlog hahah! But the food was delicious so definitely worth it 👌🏼
The traditional dish of Sylhet is Beef stew with Sathkara (Citrus macroptera). This curry is not possible to cook in any other area of Bangladesh except Sylhet people. For your information, I would like to inform you that all the Indian restaurants you have in Britain are not originally from India, There are most of the restaurants controlled and owned by the people of the Sylhet. Sylhet is called second London because most people of Sylhet live in London. When you leave Bangladesh and go to England, you must enjoy the food of the traditional restaurant of Sylhet, the Bangla town there.
Thank you very much for coming to Panch Bhai Restaurant. This restaurant is the most popular in all of Bangladesh and around 6 thousand people eat here every day. People of Bangladesh and the Indian subcontinent usually eat rice with the right hand, I understand that you have had a lot of trouble eating because you used a spoon. Among all the items here, the most special is the 'Bharta'. 'Bharta' are usually of different types. Bangladeshi people start their meal with bharta, followed by fish or meat, followed by vegetables and finally end the meal with pulses. Anyway, thank you very much for coming here and respecting our culture.
Hi Taz & Libby, Thank you for this lovely vlog. Bhorta is a traditional comfort food which is a mishmash of either vegetables, seafood or meat. It’s a very humble food that can go with either rice, roti or paratha depending on the person’s individual taste. Mutton/Beef Khala Bhuna, Sylheti Chicken Korma, Bengali Roast Chicken in onion gravy sauce, Tiger King Prawn Bhuna, Saag bhaji, Aloo Bhaji are just some of my favourite dishes in Paanch Bhai restaurant. Paanch Bhai (5 Brothers) is an extremely busy restaurant, the food is fairly priced which is why it’s very popular amongst the locals around the area, it’s a cheap and cheerful place to eat. The place is a little quieter late night. Feel free to check out some of the following restaurant in Sylhet. KAZI ASPARAGUS FOOD ISLAND, MEAT-UP Restaurant, The Coffee Club Sylhet, OZONE Restaurant Sylhet, Panshi Restaurant, Sky Dine Restaurant & Haat Restaurant etc. Much love from Sylhet 🇧🇩
Aww bless you both, we love you both for even considering to come to my country, my city, it means a lot to us and won’t forget it again thank from the bottom of our hearts, may Allah bless you both with so much success in sha Allah.... Ameen ❤️❤️
So the first set of items you had are a selection of borta which is mashed vegetables or fish with onions, chillies, mustard oil garlic etc. It also looks like they gave you hutki satni which is dried fish chutney. Usually comes in red or green paste like consistency. And is usually very spicy.
Hope you are having a great time in Sylhet. Your vlogs are very nice, fresh, clean and excellent. We heartily welcome you to mingle with the common people of Bangladesh and showcase the heritage of Bangladesh in your videos. If you are still staying in Sylhet, there are two important places to visit in Sylhet which are Jaflong and Ratargul I would urge you to visit at least one of these two places. Moreover, if you are staying in Sylhet city, then you must visit the shrine of Shahjalal. Finally, thank you both for going to this famous, crowded, popular and best quality food with the cheapest rate Restaurant in the Country (Panch Bhai). 🇧🇩❤️🇧🇩
Taz n Libby thanks for coming to Bangladesh just to know that now lot of people coming from west to Bangladesh Wich is really new never was that popular before. And yes Sri mangal would be nice aswell good resorts there grand sultan and few more .. and thanks for visiting our country.
U the both guys are really amazing! Although u r not indigenous, u r trying to mix up with our traditional foods like vorta, kala vuna which are superb to local people specially for Sylheti. We r really thankful to u for sharing our traditional foods, historical places and culture to the entire world.Thank u very much for coming to the holy town Sylhet.
"vorta" (ভর্তা) = mash(ed) e.g. mashed potatoes. Looks like they gave you a sample of lots of different kinds of mashed items. Their food looked good and kitchen well organized and clean. And the prices super affordable. Thanks for the video, now this restaurant is in my list when I visit Sylhet ! I will remember the name because there is a very popular burger joint here in the USA, started by 5 brothers back in the 80s, in my neighborhood back in the east coast, called FIVE GUYS. 😊. Since they started granting franchises around 2005, now it is all over the US.
Wow. Loved this one. Would definitely visit this place next time I’m in Bangladesh. Been watching all your Bangladesh videos. Love them all. Keep it up. British Bangladeshi Sylheti
Love from Bangladesh, bt now im in Singapore and tnks to coming our country,if u want u can goo Bandorban this is nice place i think u feel better and most beautiful. Tnks again ❤️
Sylhet has Shahjalal's shrine. You must visit that place. Next to this restaurant, there is a famous Manipuri Cloth market where you can see different types of clothes and buy them at a very low price. Moreover, if you want to know more about Sylhet, you have to go to Bandar Bazar. When you go to Bandar Bazar, you can see and explore different types of Sylhet's traditional clothes, goods, food, etc. And of course don't forget to visit Shahjalal's Mazar .
I can understand you being overwhelmed , being as busy as it was on top of that not knowing exactly what were some of the things you were eating. Hope you still enjoyed yourself. It was certainly was entertaining to watch 👍🏼 By the way you really need to check out the amazing Ozone rooftop restaurant in Sylhet city 👌🏼
Good evening from Beautiful South Wales. Omg what an experience you had there. You're so adventurous in choosing your dining venues. So good of the guy to show you the kitchen. Q: were all those those plates for you both or for the table? Stay safe and well guys 🏴🇧🇩🙏
Vorta mean smashed vegetable(selected) +bone less Fish fry mostly +onion+green chili. some of them without fish... they are so good with rice but didn't use your hands that's why you didn't feel the aromatic taste of it. talking about the fish bangali mean fish & rich. we have so many river, pond, sea as well so we always have lots of variety of fish. we love fish curry so much. try those if you can. anyway thanks for coming in bangladesh. good luck for both of you! ♥♥♥
We love all varieties of food which included meat, chicken, seafood, desserts so it’s not only fish and rice that is over exaggerated. Japanese and Nordic countries eat just as more fish than anyone but you don’t see them exaggerating it too much, we’re not the gate keepers of fish and rice that’s just a weird mindset
@@easterneye2773 well! it's my country as well as traditions. I only recommend on certain purpose. there's nothing to be exaggerate. they came here & i meant the real choice of bangali people! i won't say we consume most fishes in the world but i do say we always have fishes on our table (mostly) atleast for 2 time in a day (lunch & dinner) with rice so we prepare more dishes whether it's curry or fry or something else! i never have compared to others by any mean. we are so friendly our hospitality known by everyone across the world. pls visit here. thank u.
been there whenever i visit Sylhet the food is very good and fresh and the price is cheap you will never get any intestinal problems eating here there is a waiter at every table to attend to your needs after a spicy meal finish off with a sweet dish called "faluda" anyway , have a nice day !!
Thanks for visiting Sylhet.Hope you guys are having lots of fun here.I have been in Pach Bhai restaurant quite a lot times and its always that busy but must say it's food is really good✨✨
Bangladesh has hundreds of types of mishti (sweets). I wish some foreigners would try out all of them (at least 10) and make a video. That would be great. If somehow, for some reason, you two are going to try them and make a video, I would recommend shondesh (it has so many types), kalo jam, rosh-malai of cumilla (must try), sponge mishti, rosogolla/rasgulle, komla-vog/orange-vog, bundiya , chomchom of Tangail sequentially (sondesh to chomchom, sweet to sweetest). And lastly if you are supposed to be having a village experience, please don't miss pitha (they are basically countryside sweets/deserts). Such as bhapa pitha (must try), kushli pitha, dudh (milk) pitha, chitoi pitha, patishapta pitha, puli pitha, tal pitha (must try), teler pitha etc etc. I know, English has issues regarding eating too much sugary items. But you are gonna miss them, if you don't try them. You can try them in popular sweet shops in Dhaka like mithai wala, bonolota and etc etc. It can be your last video on this trip to our country before the departure. But please, I really would love to see your faces and reactions.
About “bhorta” , I would suggest to avoid bhorta. Bhorta is a type of food which is super spicy and strong, bhorta is basically a paste of any type of vegetable or dried fish with lots of chili 🌶,with onion or garlic depending on the type of bhorta. It’s super spicy and very powerful. To eat bhorta you must use your hand to mix properly with rice otherwise it’s just too strong to handle. A pinch of bhorta is enough to mix with one cup of rice because of the strong taste.
We're here for a good challenge however spicy haha 😄 we will probably stop short using just our hands to eat though haha 😄 don't wanna rub my eyes with spicy fingers lol
Ooomg l can't explain how much I love your video ❤ your work 💜your hard-working and much more 🖤love you guys ❤ keep it up carry on 🔐love from pakistan 🇵🇰 🙌🖤🌏
If you want nice decor / ambiance head to Kazi Asparagus Food court in zindabazar sylhet ... it's got students / families and is a nice place to sit and have a coffee or meal.
looks like you guys had trouble eating those spicy "vortas" (anything mashed). those are all spicy I can tell because Bengalis like spicy food. Also, they scooped so much rice because we eat more rice than people in other countries and it's a gesture we make to guests by offering them a bigger portion of food. It is also a welcoming gesture in Bangladesh asking people to dine in their home
Plz come to visit Chittagong🇧🇩🙂...that's my town. you will find the most kind hearted people here. And if i start telling about chittagong's beauty maybe my phone's charge will go down to 0% from 100% but i would not be done.
