If you don't know 83% of teesta river flows in India and only 17% flows in Bangladesh so if Bangladesh makes a dam we will stop all the water from going to Bangladesh and make our own dam in India's side

In such situation since more than 85% of river flows inside India and a trans boundary river we should not give permission to such project citing environmental issues . In worst case we should plan for one or two small hydro projects on the river in our portion of territory.

According to International law, india ought to take permission of বাংলাদেশ before constructing as many as 10 dams in India and uniliterally withdraw all waters from Teesta River. According to International law lower riparian country,eg. Bangladesh does not require permission from upper Riverian country India if Bangladesh does such a project. Why did not you indians solve the problem of water sharing of common 54 rivers during last 75 years although you solved water sharing of 6 common rivers of west pakistan in 1960 by signing a Treaty for 60 years even giving more waters to West Pakistan than she deserved? Answer my question if you have moral courage and principle to give to the point answer to my to the point question.

@@saifulalam8706 If there is any dispute with dam then ICJ is there to listen to, Bangladesh has all rights to go to ICJ if they are not, that means there is understanding between governments even Pakistani morons went to ICJ but they lost the case. Moreover if we have dispute that does not mean we are sending water to some other country to take advantage of and we have solved land problems with Bangladesh water problems will also be solved unlike Pakistani they have brain and some diplomatic knowledge, we have to give time for such problems and Bangladesh is getting stability NOW so we expect disputes to get settled now.

Bangladesh has always been behaving like an enemy nation, since its birth, which, government of India [through its favorable policies towards that nation], is not noticing or recognizing it, as an enemy nation. It shows that India’s policy writers doesn’t have any ‘historical knowledge’ of, what percentage of Hindu population was there, at the time of Bangladesh creation, and what is the percentage of Hindu population now. Seems that these policy writers doesn’t care for Hindu population reductions [in the Moslem countries]. Second important point is that India’s ‘soft power policy’ [always], practically brings no benefits to the citizens of India, except an additional expenditure to the government of India [in the name of assistance & help, even to, the enemy nations], and to the Tax payers, of this country. Third point is that Indian policy writers has never shown any ‘soft policy’ on Tax payers of India, and that is why, thousands of rich people from India migrating to West with their wealth, every year. Instead of making attractive policies for bringing in, rich [people of] investors, India is loosing because of its unfavorable [& non-scientific] Tax policies, which intelligentsia of this country never spoken. Solution: India must adopt a hard policy towards Bangladesh, which is [a poisonous snake is always poisonous one & one can’t invite it into their homes] unbelievable & over smart & hateful country. India must force Bangladesh to cede, its head with India to expand, & reduce our Chicken neck problem, along with merger of Chattogram area, to have a sea access, to our seven sister states [Tripura &Mizoram etc.,]. If Indian policy makers are not capable to adopt India advantage policies, then they are doing injustice to the citizens of India. Thank you. [content educational in nature]

India very unscrupulously have come up with the offer to build the Teesta project instead of giving us our much demanded share of water. Have you even thought that in the rainy season when the river and Dam all are overflowing how can India stop water?. Most of the Gates in the dams are opened in the rainy season because if they don't then the dam will get broken due to the pressure of water

There is agreement on the river, nothing is done unknowingly, Bangladesh is well informed of all the details in advance, and the agreement is clearly written of when it will be released, and do note that rivers like Teesta are seasonal river and depend on rainfall, and rainfall is controlled by nature
