I write my dialogues, but a guy named Bynine is the one who adapts and modifies it to fit perfectly into the BK universe. He is the real genius on this
Putting boggy's kids over the Jinjos was a really cool idea, but I can't help but wonder what the 4th and 5th kid would be called. We got Soggy, Moggy, and Groggy. Maybe Joggy and Foggy? lol. Regardless this is yet another fantastic mod!
without watching this video to avoiding spoiler I thought it was a silly christmas level with the 10 jiggy/tokens: easy peasy! . How wrong I was!!! that second part was amazing , I really felt the Banjo Kazooie's game spirit in that Grunch's castle ♥ an honor to play this mod . Thank you very much 🎉🎉 and happy new year to everyone.
Very great work! I am constantly impressed with the efforts displayed on this channel - both technically and creatively. Makes me want to look into modding. In this game, I particularly liked the foreshadowing of seeing the sewer pipe leaving Loggo, the red X clue in the photo of where to ground pound on top of the barrels, the appearance of the token on top of Loggo, being bewildered when the token was no longer in the W.C., then discovering it in the sewer pipe. Nice gameplay design across several areas, and engaging multiple mechanics - including the misdirection of token location which may even surprise experienced players. Also, nice crossover art with Gruntilda holding Majora's Mask.
Would highly recommend everyone play this! All of kurkos projects are awesome this one is no exception!! Thanks for all of your hard work we truly appreciate all that you do!😎💪
Nice mod, I think it would be funny to make a Christmas Carol inspired mod, where Grunty is Scrooge, and the ghosts and other characters are played by other Banjo or Rare characters. Banjo and Kazooie are somehow dragged into Grunty's hauntings, and are required to complete tasks to help progress the story. Unlike Scrooge, Grunty doesn't learn a lesson or change in the end, so the bear and bird have to kick her butt, and prevent a grim future. There could be three levels to reflect the past, present, and future. Character suggestions -Bottles as Bob Cratchit -One of Bottles's sons as Tiny Tim -Mingella as Marley -Brentilda as the Past Ghost -Devil Bottles or Mumbo as the future ghost. -Klungo as the Present Ghost
Maybe Banjo and Kazooie are the narrators, ala Gonzo and Rizzo from Muppet Christmas Carol. They're following Grunty and the Ghosts, trying to keep the story going as it should. When it doesn't pan out and Grunty learns nothing, they say screw it and kick her butt.
Believe it or not I was mulling over the idea of Christmas carol mod for next year, but we'll see. To make a story like this I should start development at the latest in August, and I have other projects in mind for now.
I know how Ebenezer Scrooge really feels like when he sees this mod. You should include him into your mod. He should tell Gruntilda that Halloween is a humbug and Christmas is the best. It would be pretty funny.
Seeing Grunty in bed is pretty cute, but it feels like you’re having a laugh when you see it. Boy, Gruntilda always gets outsmarted by Banjo and Kazooie so many times in every mod. It’s just no wonder that she was a dumb witch. My tip is: the witch has the magic powers and the bear and bird have the brains.😂🤣
Good eye my friend, but not exactly like that. I used Link's 3D model from Triforce Heroes (some kind of SNES 3D version I found, never played this game) and optimized it to run on n64. I made the clothes using different textures of Kafei's clothes and added the brown vest. The textures of the head and hair are from Mido, from OOT ;) And I modified hat's texture to make it red
Man these are so impressive. Not just the level design and tapping into the nostalgia and staying true to the original but the creative elements you add to it, like the Christmas story montage. Really cool stuff
Thanks for posting this! I love all your mods and since I don’t have the means to play them, I’m thankful that you post them on your channel for people like myself to still see them. Looking forward to when you release BK Nostalgia 64 but take your time to ensure it’s as good as possible. Happy New Year!
1:20 I mean, aren't collect-a-thon games basically fetch quest games, except fun and often done right? 2:40 Boggy is an avid painting collector and a man of quality. That Christmas Kong Tree was gorgeous. 6:00 HA HA HA HA! You remodeled the Jinjos as bears!! Man, when he started flying around, that was just the funniest thing! XD 22:00 Okay, Grunty's 180 was way more sudden than Grinch's. ^^; 31:30 Wow, that's a clever use of the cauldrons! 39:35 I swear that loud jingle should've woke her.
This was amazing! Any chance or plans of doing a mod with the hot gameover grunty being the villain like in a story where you have to defeat her to reverse what she did to tooty to make her ugly?
Just finished it, thank you so much, i was having a blast. Last year i played jiggies of time and it was awesome too! Cant wait so see what your next projects will be! All the best to you
I was meaning to comment on this video for a while, but I got sidetracked with other matters.Anyway, I like the custom bits of coding in this, such as the elf tracking Banjo's movements with his head and the stealth section What I adore the most is how you reimagined Gruntilda's Lair! While I'll always be a fan of the original, yours actually feels like a home for the rhyming witch herself! Plus, the remix of her lair's theme is wonderfully zany! Well done!
I really like the Christmas decorations in Banjo & Kazooie's 🏡, it's so cozy looking. Also the Christmas village is quite charming🙂👍🏻👍🏻I only wish you could've used fart sounds for the talking 🚽 Loggo🤗.
.... You ever think about putting together a mod of Banjo Kazooie focused on Co-Op? Not like the lost, undocumented and yanked off mod from N64 Mod-Loader, Albeit to use it would be sweet, but a mod that uses/focuses use on more than one player?
@@Kurko_Games I have the files from when it was public for the mod loader 64. You take interest or want to make an attempt, I can pass them along or if I can find the git hub link, I'll plaster it here. If you do, be mindful that it hasn't been updated since it was pulled offline so there are bound to be *issues.* as a friendly reminder. Otherwise, goodluck with your next mod!
Seriously, you make so many good hacks. But how? I thought the development of banjos backpack stopped years ago, but I see so many things in your hacks, which weren't possible back then.
Yes, Backpack development stopped in 2017. In my mods I often use little tricks to simulate things that don't seem possible in Backpack, but are (Jiggies of time was made entirely with it). However now there is a programmer helping me with my latest projects and using code he is achieving things that were not possible before
@@Kurko_Games I just played Gruntch stole Christmas. I didnt spoil myself too much before playing it. I was surprised, that the game didnt finish after the village, that there is a whole grunty's lair. There are so many details everywhere. I think the inhabitants of the village are gaming addicted, because of how many consoles and games are everywhere ;) And all the clues, hidden in images or pieces of paper are very fun! A great, great, atmospheric game!
Aver vi algo muy interesante y es que sale en persona del año que es link... Y la palmera (que no se el nombre) dijo que te preguntara, asi que vengo a preguntar porque no esta banjo y kazooie...
@@Kurko_Games i have a n 64 emulator on my phone and play bk on it so can i play the levels on my phone ? because i have a cable for.my phone that connects it with my tv
@@aaronwise1089 You have to find the actual Banjo Kazooie rom by yourself (the one I tell you in description) and drop it in the webpatcher link (in description too)
