I think it's pretty interesting that Rusty Bucket Bay is the most unpopular stage, but also has a high number of people calling it their favourite. You either love the challenge it provides or you hate it.
Or love it cuz it's got the best music, best enemies, and best aesthetic. Challenge, tho? Hardly. It's got nothing on Click Clock Wood. Only one jiggy is hard to get: the stupid propeller one. My only complaint is that, and maybe the breakable windows and door. Or maybe I was stupid for not noticing I could break them till I spent forever searching for the missing notes and jiggies.
@@F0nkyNinja But that's a tiny room you can get finished in a few minutes as the first thing you do. Do that first, and the rest is safe and dandy. Unlike having to climb the tree in four seasons, back to back, only to unlock Winter last, go into it, and get murdered by a snowman, getting lost under the ice, or falling.
@@F0nkyNinja ironically that's my favourite part about the level lol, I disliked most of everything else in the level Music and the boss battle were good tho
As a person who voted for Brentilda as my least favorite character, it's mostly because every other character had, for lack of a better term, character. Brentilda's character is just "Grunty's nice sister", and there's not really anything else to her purpose in the game. The same goes for Tooty, she's just "Banjo's sister that gets kidnapped by Grunty". Neither character really showed up in the sequels other than some easter eggs, so it's clear that even the developers felt they had no other purpose besides their original roles.
Finally getting to see one of these I actually voted in! Some of the results were predictable but not all of them. I am surprised how many other people liked Click Clock Wood that much though! Also disappointed Tooie didn’t get that many votes in games but I guess more people played the original? Still, I’d love to do a poll for that game
Tooie came out at the end of the N64's life, so it's not all that surprising tbh (it would have been interesting to see a check list of which games were played, it may be the case that among ppl who played both N64 titles Tooie is disproportionately the favourite).
Comparing between Tooie and Kazooie, Kazooie feels more magical and dream like while Tooie was just an average game. Tooie does bring in many new mechanics, the story wasn’t that special. The sequels after that were even worse.
Having recently played through Kazooie and now halfway through Tooie, I think the main issue is that Tooie tried to introduce too many new mechanics to the point where the game loses focus. Like there’s separate move sets for Banjo and Kazooie on the ground, flying in the air, under water, the first person sections, solo Banjo, solo Kazooie, Mumbo, and a different moveset for every transformation. It’s just too much and I think they could’ve done better by removing some of the gimmicks and focusing more on level design and color pallet since the first give or take 5 worlds are all a mix of browns and greens (compared to the original where you go from greens to yellows to browns to more greens to whites to more yellows, etc). That and the amount of back tracking needed to get previously unobtainable jiggies due to needing moves unlocked later. My opinions may change as I go through the game more, but so far, I just think Kazooie is better than Tooie
I like CCW over the other worlds because Kirkhope used animals as instruments and being able to watch the world change and progress as you go through the seasons.
Mad Monster Mansion getting 4th place!? Heresy! Such a fun level to explore, amazing aesthetic, TWO great songs, and you get to turn into a PUMPKIN!? GOAT tier.
I hate youtube, I never got notified that there was a poll for this game. This was the video I was looking forward the most to vote on. :'( BTW my favorite world is Mad Monster Mansion and my least favorite is Clanker's Cavern. I don't necessarily dislike any level. I think the late game has my top 3.
I remember taking part in this. Glad to finally watch it. Yes click clock wood is the absolute best. I'm glad I'm not alone on this. It held a special place in my heart ever since I first played the game over twenty years ago. Brentilda was my least favorite cause all she does is complain and tell and her sisters business.
Banjo & Kazooie is a newcomer character in Super Smash Bros Ultimate along with Byleth, Chrom, Daisy, Dark Samus, Hero, Incineroar, Inkling, Isabelle, Joker, Kazuya, Ken, King K. Rool, Min Min, Piranha Plant, Pyra/Mythra, Richter, Ridley, Sephiroth, Simon, Sora, Steve and Terry.
The most hated jiggies involve swimming underwater in a hurry before you drown or on a timer. The most hated worlds both have water in them. That must mean water worlds aren't a favorite. Im sure jolly roger bay in tooie wouldn't be a favorite either with its underwater segments.
@@darkensama1390 Good point, I just thought people dislike water themed areas in games in general :p It's super helpful to get the quick swim ability from the goldfish (Now that I think about it, that's the same goldfish from banjo's house!)
Banjo-Kazooie is a Rare game for Nintendo 64 like Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64, Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark. Do you play these games?
I wish clankers cavern would have still been a contaminated part of fungi forest, I love the level still but click clock woods was just what you could do with the scrapped idea, unpopular opinion that Tooie is a better game but both are timeless masterpieces, but you know DK64 is in the mix of beloved platform levels, they were thinking so big and had to cut back and the result was splitting clankers cavern into its own level, it was supposed to be a contaminated part of fungi forest.
I'm surprised most people played it on N64. Must be mostly old people watching your content, cuz even my fellow old people say "Don't play it on N64. Play it on X-box.". I'm also surprised a quarter of the fans love Tooie the most. From my experience online, It's seemed more like 1%. Like, in reviews for Yooka-Laylee, there was TONS of hate for it being "too different from Banjo-Kazooie", and their reasons would all be things that Tooie added to the series. I remember that one of the GameExplain guys saying in the Yooka-Laylee review that Tooie is terrible...only to later admit he's never played it. People just hate it cuz they heard it was bad from people who hate it merely for not being "Checklist The Game" like B-K. Well, I for one like that B-T makes an adventure game out of the series.
Tbh my favourite part about Tooie is the fact that you have to come back to the worlds later. I think Tooie is fairly good at signposting this, though admittedly it's a big game so I don't fault anyone for missing or forgetting them. Meanwhile in BK you can just complete each world in one go.
@@NinjaLobsterStudios That's what I mean by Checklist: The Game. Go in, grab, go out, done. People seem to think these collect-a-thons can't be adventure games, even tho they were called adventure games back when it came out. I don't think "collect-a-thon" was a term yet
Idk what old people you know, but everyone I know and is my age (25) played it as a kid on the n64, I guess most viewers on this channel would be around 20-35 so most of them would have grown up with an n64 either bc they got one themselves or thanks to their parents. I don’t know anyone who actually prefers the xbox version lmao.
My least fave stage was by far TTC. I never want to play that stage it was so frustrating. On a positive I'd love to see what the most popular colored Jinjo was? Mine would be orange.
@@captndingpot3981 Also didn't fit within Grunty's rhyming scheme of placing between 7 and 9 syllables on one end of the pause and 1 syllable more or less whilst keeping within said range on the other.
The results were mostly predictable for me, what I am more surprised about... is how many people are _surprised_ at the results. Like people not knowing why Click Clock Wood is well liked. Also The best character is _obviously_ The Jinjonator. Don't try to hide the truth.
I dunno. The more you play the game the more holes you start to see in CCW. It's a fine level but it's not the bastion of platformers like people assume it is. It's kinda tedious.
For me it would be: S: Treasure Trove Cove, Rusty Bucket Bay A: Gobi's Valley, Mad Monster Mansion B: Mumbo's Mountain, Freezeezy Peak C: Bubblegloop Swamp D: Clanker's Cavern, Click Clock Wood I'm half-tempted to put Freezeezy Peak in C because, honestly, that world doesn't really have that many fun segments IMO. The music and ambience bump it up a bit though. CCW is probably my least favorite despite how cool it's premise is, because of how tedious it is to climb that tree over and over. It really does overstay it's welcome IMO.
after watching a couple of these ranking videos i feel like i always enjoy the things others don't seem to like while at the same time not enjoying the things that everyone else seems to like. rusty bucket bay is probably my most favorite stage out of any jump & run platformer kind of game. the setting is super unique, the music slaps hard and it's just fun to play. the only thing i dislike about it is having to replay so much of the game just to get to it if i'm in the mood to play it again. click clock wood on the other hand i enjoyed back when the game was new and i was a kid, but nowadays i'd even prefer playing clankers cavern over having to replay click clock wood.
Interesting video! I faved Treasure Trove Cove. I personally never liked Click Clock Woods that much. Never made it to the level as a kid and when I did later in life I found it kind of annoying that you had to go through the level 4 times. I always see people say they love the level but I always wondered why. Hope we see something like this for Tooie! Love that game as well but I had to give it to the OG.
I never got the argument why the argument of “oh you have to explore the world 4 times” is an inherent issue. If a world is good, it’s a treat to be able to explore it 4 times in different ways. Click Clock is a good world and I don’t find it tedious to do so at all. If it were Rusty Bucket Bay or Clanker’s Cavern that I had to explore 4 times, that would make me want to pull my hair out.
@@Mr__Jack it's like the argument with DK64 that you have to basically play the levels five times to complete it. Click Clock Woods would probably be top tier if you didn't have to run through it four times. That just makes it repetitive and feel like padding/filler.
I love all the 9 worlds in Banjo-Kazooie like Mumbo's Mountain, Treasure Trove Cove, Clanker's Cavern, Bubblegloop Swamp, Freezeezy Peak, Gobi's Valley, Mad Monster Mansion, Rusty Bucket Bay and Click Clock Wood.
Click Clock Wood, the most popular? Huh. After Rusty Bucket Bay, which I still kinda enjoyed, by the time I was done with Click Clock Wood, I just wanted out... It's just so big... Too big! I really like the "four seasons" mechanic, but having to essentially visit the same level layout four consecutive times... well, it drags the whole thing down for a bit. I still like it more than Rusty Bucket Bay, but at the same time, it's also more tiring. On a side note, I feel like that formula you used is a bit... weird. I mean, if we're working with percentages, we shouldn't really go beyond 100... but maybe that's just me.
See I'm torn on polls like this, because aesthetically, Rusty Bucket Bay is a banger of a level and I love exploring it. But I HATE PLAYING IT and almost EVERY SINGLE JIGGY IS SUCH A SLOG. So I can't in good conscience say I like it but it feels harsh to say it's my least favorite.
I’m in shock. I expected the rotating propellors to be the worst Jiggy. However, Mr. Vile’s Jiggy was somehow not the worst rated Jiggy in Bubble Gloop? Really surprising. I hate this damn Jiggy and this croc forcing me to play through the first two rounds again just to have a go at the third round again. It could be because the Jiggy is much easier on Xbox since you can see the entire playing field with widescreen. On 64, you can only see roughly 60% at a time. Vile’s AI, on the other hand, ALWAYS can see the full field regardless of whether you’re playing on 64 or Xbox. In other words, you’re at an inherent disadvantage on the 64
5:05 It is absolutely no effin' wonder that stop the probs got voted to be the worst jiggy. The worst part about it is that you have to realize first that there are two switches to completely turn off these propellers. But even after hitting only one of these switches, you see a cutscene where the propellers slow down significantly, as if you could easly swim past them without taking any damage. But no, it's still an invisible wall there which skills you in one hit. Then there is the location of these two switches. One was hidden behind one of many obscure entries to the ship and the other was in the engine room, which probably caused the most deaths to any player of the entire game. If you were an especially incautious kid like me, you would collect a bunch of notes and jinjos first just to go into the engine room last and die at the slowed down propellers, losing all the progress of notes and jinjos. It was an absolute nightmare.
I think than people hates Rusty Bucket Bay, it's because they not have patience lmao. In my opinion, it's the most harder world on the game, but the most funny to play by the difficult and the challenges to get the jiggles :P
now do this for Tooie, personally Banjo Tooie is my favorite game in the series, seconded by the original. that being i look forward to seeing what people think of Klungo and Humba Wumba as well as the levels of Banjo Tooie.
Not too surprised with the "favorite game" chart. It's a close call for me personally though. I AM utterly surprised at the most popular world of BK though, CCW is my 3rd Least, beaten only by the two worst on this list! And there's quite the large margin between that and the next one as well! Give me Freezeazy any day! For characters, I've got to go with Kazooie, though neither she nor Banjo really shine without the other.
Why does everyone hate the sequel I've 100%'d through Banjo1 in 64 and shitbox n that's enough for me! I agree the sequel is one laggy sumbitch but still I cherish it, even that THAT to me is THE collectathon king when everyone falsely calls DK that lol

Who in the HEYLL liked bubblesuck swamp? I love BK. One of my best memories as a kid on the N64 but wtf, seeing clanker for the first time, working your way around Frezeezy and Treasure Trove... need i say more. Get fooked trolls that say Click Clock or whatever its called. That level blows! Ahh but who am i kiddin, anyone who enjoys BK is fine by me 🙂👍
