I laughed so freaking hard the first time I beat these guys. At first they look all mighty and powerful, then they fly off and their bodies are all puny and cute. hahahahah XD Love this game.
Why is everyone giving my thumbs-down? It's true. Rare was originally planning on making a remake of B-K with new things but decided not to because they thought it wouldn't be breaking ground. The made Nuts And Bolts on the concept of creativity. That is something you do have to admire, they were trying to make the game, we just weren't satisfied.
I was on drugs when i wrote that, what i mean is that Chilli Billi kinda has more intense music while Chilly Willies is "calm" and stuff. I really shouldnt do this stuff because someones gonna be like this and i'll sound like a !@#$in idiot.
These two live in perfect alignment. They probably want to conquer one another's land, but they simply can't. Billi COULD melt the entire other side, but the resulting flood would likely destroy the fire side. And sure, Willy COULD attack the fire side, but obviously it would melt him and, again, flood the place. If one attacks, they both go down.
This world was so awesome. ^~^ I loved it when the B&K / B&T games threw in multiple environments in the same world. It made the world look so large and gorgeous. Besides, the amazing boss battles and their music. The one thing that blew my mind in B&T as a kid was that there was a place in the first map (The jungle) that actually takes you to a place in the dinosaur map. That was awesome.
Rare games, have the most epic boss battle music of all games. They always suit the level/boss character and the battle, and their all so damn crazy and awesome! Grant Kirkhope is a fucking Genius.
Also, the N64 only supported games up to 64MB total (Conker's Bad Fur Day holds the record). Banjo-Tooie (32MB) was twice as big as Banjo-Kazooie (16MB), so they kept the soundtrack small (800KB) to leave space for the rest of the game.
I wonder if Rare realized they literally just made a "Ying and Yang" level. That's what you just described there. Though, I would like to point out that the two dragons actually seem to like each other since they get angry when they find out you beat their brother. Still, it could just be that, like Ying and Yang, they realize that one cannot exist without the other.
Some reptiles and other species determine the sex of the individual based on the temperature the egg is incubated at. By having one incubated in Lava side, and one in Ice side, you could maybe get 2 different types of dragons?
Dragon: ahhh... at last! You must be the pizza delivery boy. Banjo: uhhh.. nope! just the local Jiggy hunters. Dragon: Lies! I bet you have my pizza in that backpack. Kazooie: 'Fraid not, wartface. Dragon: Then I'll eat you instead!
Chilli billi sounds hot, while chili willi sounds cold. Perfect way of using two words and names that sounds so alike, yet with a tiny difference they sounds so different.
Chilli Billy/ Chilli Willy: Ah.. at last! You must be the pizza delivery boy. Banjo: No, just the local jiggy hunters. Chilli Billy/Chilly Wily: Lies! I bet you've got my 12-foot (Insert pizza choice here) in that backpack! Kazooie: 'Fraid not, wartface Chillie Billy/Chilly Willy: Then I'll eat you instead! Is it just me, or do chiily will and chilly billy like pizza too much? They gain too much weight!
Dragon: Do you have my 12 foot (Pizza type) yet?? Banjo: Sorry, no. Dragon: Then I';; roast your furry hide once more!/Then I'll chew on your bones once more!!
@McJiggys1999 Definately Chilly Willy. If you see the practical side of lava; well, there is none. It just emits poisinous fumes and I'm sure Banjo has some long-lasting health problems now. But ice? What, pnemonia? You can get over that.
Lol I take my gamefaqs name from Chilly Willy. I also went under the name Chilly Willy at an old Banjo-Kazooie forum called Banjo-fellas Breegle Aviary (BFBA).
When I was little, I had nightmares about these guys! They didn't have bodies, just their necks and heads like in the game. They'd crawl around like that, and... oof. Kinda creepy. xD Banjo-Tooie had the best music ever, seriously!
I kind of pity these two. All they want is the pizza they ordered and instead a bear shows up and beat em up. That's a bit sad for them. Can't blame them for attacking tho, waiting for the pizza guy is like thirty minutes in hell, plus that when it gets there, its friggin cold.
that's the thing about rare. they don't just use a boss battle song for every single boss battle. they actually take the time in making these songs. Rare is actually devoted to their players... except in N&B cause they must have been on crack or something.
That's actually incorrect. Rareware made N&B on the basis that they thought they could break ground to keep with the Banjo series. B-K is the golden standard for all platformers and B-T invented the concept of going to later levels to get collectibles in earlier levels. They thought that doing the vehicle concept for be creative. It wasn't so much that Rare wasn't caring about their players, it's that the players weren't satisfied.
@lolidunno64 They're dragons. A couple of roars should be enough. They might also have fire/ice-resistant phones. Or they simply went to McJiggy's and ordered some pizzas and asked them to be delivered to them later.
I have nuts and bold, and had Tooie and Kazooie before it. True, the music and gameplay aren't as good, but the multiplayer is some of the finest on the XBOX360, plus, the jiggossuem challenge music is good.
You know what's been buggin me since I was a kid... You know how you don't kill Chilli Billi and Chilli Willy, including Terry... What happens to 'em I was expecting to see them in N&B but they weren't. But it's good they weren't... Cuz if they make a Banjo-Threeie they should put all three of them in it... who's with me?? (Also nice shot's of the Chilli bros. they both look awesome :D )
