Having a great time in Nashville at the Station Inn on a Monday night with Carl and his God Daughter, Ashley!!! Joining in are Larry Cordle, Val Storey, Aubrey Haynie, Larry Atamanuik, Mike Bub, Kat Marx, Robby Turner and Doug Jernigan
Ahh thigh slapping toe tapping fantastic, country music .I just love the amazing good talent, of everyone on stage , those banjo's.. I know I wish I was in the northern hemisphere that night ! Makes me smile so much thank you kindly!
Just watched the "dueling banjos" with Carl and Glen Campbell from 1973. Incredibly well done and it's hard to believe Carl was only 20...."DEAR GOD WHAT TALENT"!!!
Love your singin`pickin` and smooth style, Carl! What a great songwriter with a large array of hits, under your belt!! So impressive!! What a musical treasure you are, my friend! Gilbert Burke
Carl Jackson has been one of my favorite musicians and Ashley is the icing on the cake. Great talent and great music all rolled into one. From North of the border in Canada.
Just can listen to you and Ashley ,love you two together seems to be so much respect between you. Just sad we don't hear more from her on the radio. Please watch over her and keep her on the right track such a talented young lady.
@@RobinandCarlJackson It's funny every time I watch Glen it makes me cry, but he is never gone. I love the stuff you do with his daughter, bone for bone, wow!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, the talent on that stage is mind blowning, can't wait to see Ashley and Carl and his band in concert in the near future, hopefully somewhere in florida, but if we have to travel to Nashville, that would be okay........
Thank you, Merlyn! I tell Carl that all of the time...he is glad that he can be there for her, and all of the kids...he is a great Godfather and mentor!
Ashley is a great singer and when she backs folks up it is always a treat. My Favorite is I’m Not Over You with Rhonda and Carl. You go Ashley! Such a beautiful woman.
I grew up on hillbilly music as it was called back I n the early 40s when I got old enough to enjoy music . I turned 81 in March hillbilly went to bluegrass. Still love the sound hope I get to see you all in concert if you are ever in my area
Thank you, John! Yes, Carl is an incredible banjo player...it was his first instrument...Glen Campbell used to introduce him as the world's best banjo player and would always feature him on the marquee at the venue and give him a 30 minute "solo" time on stage...Carl has a few banjo albums that he did early on...check out more videos on our RU-vid channel and also, check his webpage...www.carljackson.net
Carl Jackson is a living legend and a beautiful human being. The talent just flows like a river off that stage. My Little Bear, Shannon Marie Burns that wrote so many comments on this venue, has left us to go be with her savior. She took my heart and soul with her. Fly high Angel Bear.
I am from Brazil and was at The Station Inn, last september on the Monday Night presentation! What a great place! Nashville is something! The Station Inn, 3rd and Lindlsley, the Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, The Stage on broadway, Layla's, Tootsies, any place on Bradway St. A shame I could not get into Bluebird Cafe and BridgeStone Arena. Maybe next time!
@@RobinandCarlJackson it is always in my plans! A night that Carll is playing would be a dream... Before this trip I made, I only know Carl Jackson from an old CD I have, Nashville Duets with Emmylou Harris, and from that (nice) album one can not know how good player Carls is. And Ashley is great too! After the trip I started to listen everything I get from Station Inn. And then Country Road. And I learned things, and listen great music. Cheers from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Thank you, Antonio! Please check out Carl's Grammy winning albums "Livin, Lovin, Losin, Songs of the Louvin Brothers" and "Spring Training," on his website: www.carljackson.net You can find his other great albums, there, as well..."Mark Twain: Words and Music," "Orthophonic Joy," and Glen Campbell's last studio album, "Adios," in which Carl does everything, except sing the main part...that would be Glen! LOL! Thank you!
Larry Cordle is definitely BLUEGRASS!! Don't know if I ever heard him sing a Country Song. Bet he could......More "Country" than most!! Fantastic Harmony from Carl and Ashley. The band kinda gave it a Country Twist.....I LIKE IT!!! Oh... wait a minute.... I DID hear Larry Cordle when he sang that song "Murder on Music Row"....that he Co-Wrote. Can't remember the other writer's name. It sounded Country. (With a "Blue-Grassy" voice..... 😂 😂!!!)
Hey Gilbert! Check out Cord and "Black Diamond Strings" and "14 Carat Mind" on Carl's channel! And if you can't find Cord on our channel, just search for him on RU-vid for country! He is GOOD!! I will tell him thank you!!!!
Thank You for answering me back and telling me about Cord. I heard "Black Diamond Strings"....but not the others yet. I even remember "Black Diamond Strings" back in the day. (The guitar strings....not the song. 😂) Thank You again, for answering back. God Bless You and Yours. Tell Carl hello.
