I love the action on Panther Martins and Mepps but the fish don't hook up nearly as well as Roostertails, Joe's Flies, and other spinners. I've had way too many fish get off. I gave up using anything other than Roostertails for inline spinners, they get way better hook sets

for rainbow trout, i always use night crawler and a syringe pump ... rainbow will kill it every time when i go trout fishing ...
