Used to fish off the Shands bridge that you drive over back in the 80s and do quite well black drum and stripers the 12th and 13th set of pylons from the East side used to have a great drop off maybe it still does but you have to have a boat to get there now. Back then they let you fish off the bridge and there was so little traffic we would stop the car and unload all of her equipment and then drive it up to the bank on the east side and walk back out to the 12th and 13th Pilon. Jigging the ponds with fresh whole shrimp used to get us some stripers and the newly introduced Sunshine bass at that time. Good luck go get you some
