It all depends on one's mindset. If you have the heart to learn new skills and re-invent yourself time to time, IT field can be a heaven- it pays well, you can switch to higher positions and get 25-30% pay hike regularly with company changes, You can always stay in metro cities and can easily leave workplaces if there is any toxicity there. The same can't be said for bank/govt jobs. Only good thing there is stability in your job and workplace.
@@arkadipganguly2871 take away is in bank customers are mostly uneducated uncouth but in IT clients are well educated well mannered mostly from Europe or western countries ..also one get to work in onsights I.e western or European countries
If anyone want highly package salary go and join IT job if anyone wants decent salary with social value join govt job ..WORK PRESSURE IS A COMMON THINGS FOR ALL JOB APPROXIMATELY
Good thing about your videos is the utmost honesty you have about your thoughts like you say things which are happening on ground level. Keep it. It's rare. ❤️👍🏼
One thing I do not like about IT companies is that the pay is not uniform.. for example im senior system engineer who joined after btech and didn't shift.. now some guy worked somewhere and shifted here as senior system engineer.. he gets better salary than me.. and in banks all the guys in similar rank get equal pay.. one more thing is that a developer does more job in IT(service based) but gets less pay than an entry level mba graduate.. that's ridiculous.. there is huge pay gap Between upper management and engineers.. in banking even the MD salary is comparable to a DGM.. this promotes equality and common goal that we all work hard and share the profits in a uniform and structured format.. everyone's work is equally important..
Banking job nowadays become very hectic and target pressure is very high.. and worst part is transfer.. this will spoil your mental peace and disturb your family
Exactly my experience I have worked as an officer in IndusInd Bank for 3 years and later I cracked IBPS Clerk. And I am telling you no job can be compared with government jobs. Your valu your life your mental state your salary your safety everything is more in government jobs. That's why competition is increasing these days.
@@anjana9545 yes it is. Once you become 18+ everything is going to be stressful. But if you compare it with achieving targets, maintaining weekly performance etc. then no it is not at all stressful.
I think there is no other person better than you to tell the pros and cons of both bank and IT jobs. Your opinion is very honest sir. Thanks for the video:)!
I have also seen both the sides.I feel IT sector job is much better as compared to PSB job. Both are having pros and cons but atleast in IT sector you would never feel like a stagnant river. At any stage of your life you can make a jump to start afreash but this is not true when one is working in a psb
Sir.. I was just thinking to switch to bank job from service based company. It's really hectic to work in IT . Another difference is irregular timings... Having night shifts in IT .. in bank same timings throughout.
@@princepavan9433 Ever heard of Jaiib and Caiib exams of IIBF?? Even if you join as a clerk in bank, you will become a Po within 3-4 years and because of biparrate settlements, salary of bank employees will witness an increase of atleast 20% (irrespective of the designation). Promotion in banking industry is fastest among all the govt jobs. Inspite of financial risks and work pressure, employees of banks are clutched to their jobs because of decent salary and work security
I am a computer science Engineer after degree all my friends joined IT but they returned to their hometowns after few months. They started preparing for banking. After few months again they returned to IT because they found banking difficult.
I am working in an IT company thinking of resigning it .But thinking of salary Clerk salary is low compared to the fresher salary in IT.But there is a need to upgrade yourself in IT and if you are not having passion it will be stress ...what would you think?
You forget most important point i.e public dealing this is a very major point 2nd thing during lockdown IT guys were in their home doing wfh but in bank there is no provision of wfh 3rd transfer affects your married life if your wife or husband is also working you have to live alone for many years not whole life but most of the time
3:02 You said you don't recommend 'job for life' concept. Can you make a separate video related to it explaining why don't you recommend it? And also all the pros & cons for both 'switching jobs' & 'single job for life'?
Being an IT graduate getting goose bumps after clicking on the notification.. however I am happy with my decision though struggling in my path but still🤞😌
Working in TCS for last 5 years, I can understand the "stories" completely😃 and I do not regret resigning from the mnc as a clerk in PNB this year. 2020 was the best for me despite the vulnerability it caused as I snatched a job(whatever it is) in PSB. But the game is on for PO this year 🙂
Why did you left TCS? May I know the reason? Due to job security or some other issues or less salary? I wanted to join IT. Your reply can give me insights about IT.
@@Abhishek-bb4co the points discussed by Supriyo da here are more or less same as my experience. Moreover some points for me are: I wanted to join a Public Sector,I didn’t like work environment of IT sector, I am loosing interest in it-sector-kind-of-technologies. So all of these pushed me to find a reason to leave TCS 🙂 I don’t want to demotivate you as you want to join IT sector. Many people find it very much likely to grow in career. So don't be disheartened, follow your guts. 😊
M also in a similar situation but the obvious reason behind the switch was job security but in the view of the current govt's privatization polity things dint turn out the way we expected..so was it a right choice
@@subhajitchakraborty3347 I can understand the concern and I was confused for the same too. But in my case I wanted to change the sector, from IT to Finance. And in private banks the payscale is lower than these psbs. Lets see how long these stays as psb, till they are privatized.

Everything is good for reading and listening. If lots of students are appearing for exam then few of them will get selected. We only consider the approach of those who get selection in bank, upsc, mpsc. What about other aspirants? I think jab tak syllabus complete nahi hota ya grip nahi aati we should manage time for bank study after getting command job chod do. Because at the end jo bohot din se competitive ke pichhe hai aur select nahi huye profile me gap ki vajah private me bhi job jaldi nahi milta.
A person working in an IT services job has opportunity to get into product based companies like, amazon, google ,facebook, etc which in compared to bank job is very good, the salary and the perks you get is higher than a bank job. My pov is that being in an IT services job you should try getting into a product based company which is far better than a bank job.
In present scenario, I think It would be better bcz in a pandemic situation like this bankers have to go and risk their life, but it people have WFH and they have hikes also, but in bankers case salary is low and in prsnt vacancies are very less competition is high & don't know when will be exms get conducted and late results
Types of colleagues. Here I see a problem. I like everything about IT but not the type of colleagues. I'm ok with the work provided but not the type of people that I'm surrounded by. They would just be partying and clubbing(as you said). What would you suggest for someone like me?
not everyone would be in the partying and clubbing mood, there are many introverts as well. I think we used to have lovely and deep adda sessions there. The point being that there are lots of young people around, in banks only if you are relatively lucky you would have lots of youngsters around you.
I can't commend more the level of topics supriyo da brings....it is so relevant to today's situation. Dada I have one question, I have secured a really good paying job in a reputed Australian bank and I like the profile as well, but this job security keda is has bit me(though this bank really known for being employee centric) and hence, I have cracked SBI CBO now I am really confused here. given the options...!!!!!! Please help!!!!!!
there are many aspects about the CBO job that you must remember, watch this video I have clarified them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GY-DnVm40kY.html The ultimate decision will be based on your goals. If you want to do an MBA/CFA degree in the future joining the Australian Bank will be nice especially since you are saying they gave you a good profile. In CBO you have to deal with bureaucracy and initial years will be very hard. But yes, SBI job is 100% secure, you won't lose the job unless you commit fraud. Do a cost benefit analysis of both and decide.

People are so quick when it comes to generalisation 😂😂 Many UPSC and state PSC aspirant join RRB PO/OA which offers them state posting with less hectic work. I am one of them but I opted for RBI Assistant my senior in Bank is in FCI as Manager , and his senior(before my joining) is right now in IIS With that said Carrier in Bank provided me with a cushion to fall in if I failed along with Pay and perks which are good, giving you a sense of financial independence. All the best to future bankers 👍🏻
See it depends upon where you work Service industry or production industry In IT only skilled labour's required In production highly technical person with wide range of thinking is required If service industry opts for AI then labour's will cry And because of service industry we are actually speeding up foreign companies not government companies If we are developing other countries then who will develop our country Hardware is important not software That's why our country is behind And China is entering in our country So we have to help our country anyhow

Guys I have gone through all three formates , its concern for you all from my side. Read this definitely it wil help and choose wisely. 1 it sector 2 govt bank employee 3 private bank employee No doubt it sector is the best option In case you are switching from it sector to PRIVATE sector bank its completely noo a big noo. Frustration, pressure, harsh language, big not Achievable targets insurance and all, 11-12 hours of working hours with big responsibilities. So if you want to move from it sector or you selected for govt bank no matter clerk or po you can go job security u have power and less sales part , less working hours than private banks. Responsibility and pressure will be there but you can move surely. For private bank employee if you want to move in IT sector its one of the best decisions you will never regret. I hope guy's u all got my point. Choose wisely.

I did my engg in electronics but joined BOI as a clerk but I'm still happy since my parents are happy & I was unable to get good job in my field. Moreover in bank u don't need switch from company to company & you get yearly increments fast promotions other perks also if promoted to officer cadre. Most important you will get social respect & you will be serving nation.
Job security till 60 is the key.. IT companies throw the person out when he reaches manger role and doesn't have any project.. they will not spare such high salaries without work..
