You should only get to 99 smithing if you are on the skillcape chunk. Otherwise any anvil in the game means 99 smithing, it’s just crazy. It’s an exception I feel

the difference between endless hours in raid for the full collection log and a random anvil requiring drops from random mobs is that you knew about the collection log requirements when you started this (or you would have stopped on the Skotizo grind) but 99 smithing is only a problem because of the extreme lack of options for gathering supplies

For the banked xp plugin, I don't know if you already did, but it will by default chose the worst potions for herblore. So you might have more banked than you think, if you didn't already chose to make better potions.

Hey Verf, on the 2:35 minute mark you go over the combat achievements for Skotizo; one of them was "Demon Evasion". You explained how you weren't able to do this achievement until you would get a decent ranged weapon (and you specifically mentioned the rune crossbow). It is something you backlogged but are now able to do!

As for teleporting with the ancient shards, although its still incredibly niche and useless, I wish they'd make it so you make it a one time charge with like 20 of them to teleport as often as you like in there, again - I know niche and useless but still, I'm sure at least one person in the game will probably use it afterwards.

Thanks for the update, it was really nice to touch base and see everything laid out, it’s been a long time and it’s difficult to keep track of everything! Thanks for taking the time to go over your thoughts with nearby chunks too, and I very much agree with the exceptions talked about. I’m all for big grinds, and I loved that you stuck out the Jar, but there’s a big difference, to me, between a rare drop and the absolute meme that is raking a singular patch for 7 years or killing 26 million skeletons over the course of 15 years. Or getting 1 billion woodcutting exp for evil chicken memes! The only question I have is about raids. Now I’ve never done raids before, and don’t have the first clue about it, but is it possible to do raids for every drop with current gear? If it’s feasible at all then totally go for it, but I definitely don’t want to watch friends/viewers carry you through raids for three years if it’s not feasible with current gear.

The amount of construction experience banked is insane.

Strongly think with every chunk man account (mine included) farming should 100% just be a passive grind that you always work on while progressing. Too many chunk blocks to ever really consider it a task

rock shell pieces are a nice niche thing not a lot of players know about, i did 99 atk and strength on king sand crabs because of the 200hp super afkness and it made me about 40m from those things dropping. made it a little more interesting than just camping ammonite crabs or nmz for me

assuming you do get the hosidius patch chunk, the watermelons and snape grass seeds will give a huge boost, probably worth checking the banked xp for those seeds not just the tree seeds

Love the vids man! One idea, mayby after like 5 or 10 chunks you get one bonus chunk: a chunk you can teleport to (minigame/magic tele). Than when you roll a new chunk it can also open up that map from that bonus chunk...

Huge gz on the jar verf! You probably have some more xp banked than you think, for example if you check the herblore banked xp you still needed to set all herbs to the correct potion you were going to make, giving you more xp per herb. Unless you did that before hand without us knowing

You mentioned needing to get 95 fletching but darts are restricted behind Tourist Trap so you wouldn't be able to make them. You'd still need 90 Fletching for the arrows however which is a much better grind as it's only 3.2mil xp with a pie at 85 compared to the 8.7 mil requirement for 95 fletching.

That Skeleton smithing grind is over 30 years at 12hrs a day. Crazyness!

Here's a few other ways to help with the smithing grind: Moss giants drop steel bars at 1/21.33 Lesser demons drop gold ore at 1/64 Mutated bloodvelds (yes, requires 50 slayer) drop mithril bars at 1/25.6 Black demons drop addy bars at 1/64 Skipping bloodvelds, you could go for: Bronze bars from skeletons (960 bars/24,576 skeletons to go from 1-30) Steel bars from moss giants (19,314 bars/411,968 moss giants to go from 30-70) Addy bars from black demons (196,749 bars/12,591,936 black demons to go from 70-99) Add any rune bars from RDT or Skotizo to cut down on that last one. After doing the math, this doesn't seem to help much lol. I'm not sure if you would count it, but just to the SW of Kourend Castle is a mine. If you unlock the anvil chunk (6201, chunk 4 on your map), you can access the top row of rocks in that mine (1x addy, 2x clay, 1x coal). However, these rocks are in the chunk to the south of Kourend Castle (6456, chunk 3 on your map) and technically not unlocked yet. So this may be iffy as to whether or not you can use them.

Was stuck in the catacombs hunting my own skotizo drop for way to long. Got up to 130kc on skotizo for no skotos so watching this video and seeing you were at 10 pets for 401kc hurts my soul lol. Decided to give up and hope i get it passively with slayer.

Don't forget you need tourist trap to even make the darts. So that grind is a long ways away.

I don't understand why you'd need to get 99 smithing if you unlock an anvil... with that logic you'd need to get 95 magic before unlocking any new chunks because you have access to runes as drops and fire surge takes level 95 to cast (or if you say you need access to wrath runes before that becomes a goal, then level 90 for tele-other to camelot)... I think grinds should happen only when you actually have a "from scratch" way of getting to the level. So to get the requirement to make rune platebodies, you first need to have unlocked a "consistent" way to train mining (eg. access to clay rocks or iron ore) AND unlocked a runite and coal ore. Unlocking a furnace is a tricky thing because technically there is superheat item but then again, if you don't have access to runecrafting nature runes then that shouldn't count either...

There’s no cheesy method to do a perfect skotizo? That surprises me.

Hey Verf, I noticed you had Rock-shell boots/gloves banked. You don't actually need fremmenik trials done to wearv them and they have the same stats as leather boots/gloves for a slioght defense boost

As much as we would love to see getting meme grinds done. Please don't. If there's no reasonable method to train it(reasonable in your or limpwurts minds lol) then just back log it until there is a way to do it. It'd be fun to see it done, but it wouldn't be fun for you or us on the way to get it done. Save the farming grind for after you get a patch which is really close to to it and the smithing one has ways to train within a couple chunks that would be reasonable. Its not like you would have to wait until you unlock the blast furnace to train it, just like 3 chunks away. Excited for the future. Also pretty neat you were basically exactly 6 months igt to finish the chunk.

Love the videos bro, after watching this one I must say.. I love the commitment but we need content! I need to see you grow. Runescape is such a big game you need to set expectations a bit lower. Either way, mad respect. I'll be watching!

Early in the series you did not have a fishing net, then on Karamja you had one in the inventory, I was wondering where you got the net from? At 7.56 on the first week and goals video there is no net, then a few clips after it is there. Me and some friends are theory crafting where it came from, but we cant figure it out :D

Why would you need 99 smithing? Surely you'd only need to be able to smelt the highest ore available to you? Wouldn't 99 only be required if there was the skillcape near you?

I don’t know if I would count superheating ore + anvil as meme drop rate if you unlock the mine. 360 bars to 30 smithing 1600 steel bars to 50 smithing 8000 mith bars to 70 smithing 123000 addy bars to 99 smithing. I havent really done the math it still might be even slower than iron dragons but just a thought. Idk I think you could get like 100 addy ore an hour. Maybe 250-500 coal if you superheat there it could be faster. It’s like 3K hours on my early estimates for 70-99. Now that I look at it more you need 80k more mature runes which you can’t really get without 850K more hill giants so it is still a meme drop rate.

Can somwone explain to me why anvil = 99 smithing, its not the skill cape ? Also by that logic, wouldnt it means that any skills he has unlocked and is either a gathering skill or he does have access to the resource needed would also be 99 grinds, like wouldnt he need 99 WC for example, as he does have access to trees ?

Dunno if it was mentionned, but for your theorical fletching grind, don’t you need a quest to make darts? Thus a theorical fletching grind might not need the darts. And, amazing content as always. Keep on on the grinds!

I don't think you can even use the Spirit Tree patch unless you have Hosidius favor. So, that chunk will not have an 85 Farming grind... yet.
