@@lucid523 My grandparents lived in Grove Park, off Bankhead, for 50 years and I spent my early years there. It was beautiful, quiet, clean and safe. Churches on every corner. Great schools, etc. Another world........
Been watching you for years. Makes me appreciate the safety of my neighborhood, even though we are poor we are lucky to raise kids where it’s safe. I really feel for the kids that live in these areas.. many never even get a chance.
Its relieving that some people actually see it this way. It seems that racists think that most blk people are inherently criminal when that's impossible to be true. People who live in extreme poverty or just poverty are more likely to do illegal activities. Imagine living around plenty of criminals that sell drugs, kill people over issues, and steal just about anything. This is everyday life in these type of neighborhoods for people just like me
@@chazl9531 children are innocent and don’t deserve this. I also would like you to know there is a lot less racists than “they” want you to believe.. if they turn us against each other based on race, we won’t turn against THEM based on class.. lived most my life around all white people, nobody I’ve ever met is racist. Personally I used to be a democrat, I’d rather spend my time with a libertarian black man or woman than a white liberal..
@@BrandyTexas214 Agreed. There are a lot less racists , I'm standing with you on that one but plenty of bigots which I really meant. These people think that blk people dont know how to act when it's the environment that creates ruthless people. I've seen some really tragic situations in the blk community that people from a different neighborhood just wouldn't understand or would have a hard time trying to understand why horrible things happen by people from violent neighborhoods. I'm honestly not worried about race, I'm worried about the people that say 13/50, call blks joggers and monkeys, and hide their bigotry from the outside world behind a computer screen. We could easily turn against the ruling/ownership class but trust me it ain't blk people that's stopping the unity. We've been trying to explain this to whites since Malcolm X, MLK, James Baldwin, Fred Hamptom and every one of those people were silenced for trying to bring everybody together
I wish Charlie was around back in the early 2000's, 90's and 80's pre gentrification, police cameras and pre tearing down of all the housing projects in most inner cities. Rolling through inner cities back in the day was way scarier.
Blah blah blah, he puts his life at risk in anyone of these neighborhoods…what are u sum kind of king pin? U can roll thru the tough hoods huh? U know what’s up
I've visited you Charlie for years. It is a miracle you haven't been hurt in all of your adventures. You Sir, are Blessed. Let Jesus know you appreciate that.
Back in the mid 2000’s I had to do a lot of work travel in ATL. Every time when landing at Hartsfield, I’d play “Elevators - Outkast” and it just felt like that vibe when I’d get there. Thanks for the content!
Thank for the ride, I finally got to see bankhead. That name it's self is serious. I pray one day the area get clean up. God bless you showing us another great video. ➕🙌🕊️⭐😇🙏
Oh it will get cleaned up. It already has started. What he didn't show you was the gentrified portion of Bankhead with new townhomes starting at $400 -$500K., which is not the most expensive, but expensive for GA.
I've lived in bankhead for 6 years never really had any issues. My brother has had more problems with Decatur. We won't even recognize bank head in 10 years
From what I saw, he didn't go through the worst areas, but It's definitely dangerous. Only a few spots are what I would classify as dangerous to drive through in the daytime, but you better hope your car doesn't breakdown. Round there, English ave is probably the worst. I used to work in investment real estate in the area. Made good money in last couple years, but the risks are not worth it to me anymore.
This area your video shows is close to down town or Mercedes Benz stadium, it on purpose that area is allowed to go down that way,it's to make the land cheaper so they can build that way without resistance. You don't see any for sale signs do you, but certain groups are able to get loans to remodeling. Big money is moving in ya'll.
I have traveled the world, been to 35 countries. I've seen cities that are unimaginably huge with mind-numbing poverty. However I never felt personally in danger as much as I do in any city in the USA. Not only do we tolerate levels of human suffering seen in places like Nepal or Egypt, we also lost empathy for one another; it's everyone for themselves here. The Indian city of Chennai for example might be poor, but people stick together and stand up for their community more than here. Of course any city in Europe or Japan is paradise on earth compared to anything we got here. I was once told that through travel, I will learn to appreciate the USA more, however I found the total opposite to be true; I see very little to appreciate in this country, especially given how blessed we are in land, wealth and resources. We are a failed state and a failed society, plain and simple. 8 people we shot in Philly today.
US citizens bought the corporate narrative that workers unions and socialism is detrimental to society. The american dream is dead and is more aptly named the american nightmare.
I had to cut thru this neighborhood once after an ice storm. I was creeping along down this slick hill when a lady in a wheelchair came sliding out of a Family Dollar parking lot backwards. After a few “figure 8s” she gained control of that chair & drove it on thru the intersection like it was a regular car.
It's a shame that they let that side of town go under but just as soon as you hit Northside drive going towards GA Tech its like you've crossed over into a whole other dimension
I was recently out at Woodfield Mall and let me tell you, I’ve never saw so many gay/trans 🏳️⚧️ black men, and you could tell love was in the air. How wonderful to see these young black kings coming out, not afraid to show their sexuality for the same sex. Love is love ❤️ 🌈 🏳️⚧️
Susan! It's actually FREE to pick up trash. I've been cleaning up my trash for free for the last 52 years. Lots of people are trying it. Doesn't cost anything!
@@packofhounds yes, packofhounds, it's free everyday for people that want to have nice looking yards and streets, but as you can see on the video all the trash that's all over the place. In my town the city fine you now, as a quick way to make sure people clean up yards.
3:30 - why so many boarded up houses? Something really rotten is going on, and I'm not talking about street crime or people willingly abandoning those houses.
...impoverished community which is socially engineered; go a few blocks over you'll see a billion dollar football stadium and a host of tourist attractions. It's not by accident it's by design.
Turner Field was built in a so so type neighborhood. In San Antonio they built their AT&T arena in the worst part of town too. When building stadiums they take that cheap land
i keep tryna watch these recent videos because my daughter has been missing around these areas since December of last year she is not from there she was traveling thru on the greyhound bus and stopped in downtown atlanta where she became missing from the police will not help me there
I'm from ATL and honestly it's WAYYY SAFER than it use to be. It's alot safer than a lot of other cities we just have a false reputation based on rap music. But ATL all things considered is pretty safe, nice and clean. Now our really rough areas like in this video....yea...they're hella hood
I’m from the south side, around Ben Hill is where I grew up. I’m more scared to drive thru Buckhead these days. I deliver for Amazon Flex now. I love the whole south of ATL personally.
@@jermainelittlejohn9943 I live close to DAT9 and DAT6, I've been doing groceries from Bolton rd and Lithia Springs I've been doing in the afternoons they have all been sending me mostly to South and Westside.
Is the traffic hard to get around to different hubs have you heard no touch no Freight my cousin said that I'll be driving but I don't have to touch you and all I do is pull up and then unload and load hey you heard it before
Yeah that's worse part but yeah I surveyed a few lots with in a mile of that area over the summer where builders are building new homes from 300 to 500 thousand.
Know all those neighborhoods you're riding thru, to bad you didn't get to the freaky bad ones, you have to drive thru overgrown bushes on the street, then miss the dead dogs, stripped cars, burned and abandoned houses, 1 and 2 year Olds wandering in the streets, etc. ... it's real, but why ?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This world need Jesus!!! Jesus saves, delivers, set the captives free, answer prayer and give enteral life 🌎➕🕊️
You literally riding around the bluff not bank head. It’s over by my school Morehouse College. If anyone ever watched “Snow in the Bluff” that’s where he at.
this is so embarrassing, this is somuch proof that nomatter were these poeple live it will turn into a junk yard, these hoods actually have great land and gorgeous homes and this is how these folks let it go, well shame on them..
How about you show the most affluent areas in the same video that you show the poorest areas of each city you go to? At least give some contrast so people can see the wealth inequality. Show them contrast so they can see how the niggaz been relegated to the slums, while other groups living lavishly. Showing contrast provides more shock value, and gives people something to comment about.
these people love their trash. It looks like they love to look at it, its everywhere. Tons of abandoned property's. Wonder if they are contributed to death by violence or just moving away from corruption? I pray more people find Jesus and stop putting themselves first.
