You know when they say anything, the opposite is true. They are absolutely incapable of telling the truth. You would think that they would be honest once in a while to throw you off, but these 🤡s are so are up with demons that this it’s not an option.

FR specifically went after wealthy customers and they cashed out and moved to treasuries as rates whet up so FR got fucked but it's their fault for banking for wealthy that are quick to move money. It's really just the general public needing cash for life expenses that keeps banks going otherwise everyone's cash would be in treasuries... Let's see almost 0% return for cash in a bank account or 5% or so per year with a treasury.....

This is why people should go to a credit union. My credit union is Digital Federal Credit Union aka DCU and they are outstanding. They are owned by its members ("Depositors). They are very healthy, very well managed and are in all 50 states. They are part of a surcharge free ATM network that has more ATMs than Bank of America. They pay 6.17% interest on the first $1,000.00 in the savings accounts and have pretty good auto loan rates too.

In my opinion, some of these banks were attempting to restructure their bond portfolio, which involved selling their low-yielding bonds despite the potential loss, and compensating for it by buying higher-interest-rate bonds on the open market.

I have learned to not trust corporations. I was badly hit by the '08 financial crisis. Since 2019, I've just been focused on investing through a financial advisor, and it has been paying off, and I'm never going back to banks full time.

@@richardhudson1243 true, A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

depends if and who bails them out again. banks already used a 1/3rd of their insurance reserves at the last FRB bailout and they'll not be keen to further extend their risk liability. government can't be seen to bail it out going into an election, nor can they let it fail. we'll see who caves first I guess.
