The distress for banks was a farce; what we have experienced in the past 2 years is a result of a system that has worked incredibly well. The Fed just had to tighten credit to cool the economy.

I feel that the last bull run was bolstered by all the money being printed. Major returns next bull run but I think they will be tamer in my humble opinion. A 10x on AMSRC23 is and a 15x on polygon are fair considering how much those two coins are interwoven into the entire crypto ecosystem

My brother married a woman from South America and brought her back to the US about 3 years ago. She is still struggling with English…. getting better but not fluent. Her daughter subsequently arrived and had a baseline understanding of English and was able to get a job within a couple months in a local factory. Not going to easily integrate the illegal aliens into the work force and eventually to citizenship. Add to that the amount of automation under AI …. which will eliminate a lot of human tasks. Construction jobs especially plumbers would be beneficial but how many have the aptitude and how do we select them so we can fill jobs and send others back to their home countries. Biden has allowed far too many, far too fast and manufactured another social and economic crisis. How can one administration mess up so many things in less than 4 years? Worst political policies ever…. and the worst impact. Govt spending and the lag effects are masking the size of the crisis but we are on a path to destruction.

I’m with the camp that thinks the fed should not exist.

The Federal Reserve has only one product: Debt. The system is inherently flawed to eventually fail from the very first dollar issued with interest attached; whether or not this was the original intent is irrelevant. Even Keynes knew this and privately admitted to the eventual collapse of this scheme. Mathematically, debt can never ever be paid off; otherwise the system would implode. Rather, the debt must continue to grow and more importantly, grow at increasing rates for the system to sustain. Yes, temporary tapers can be imposed, but that is followed by a gush of currency creation to satisfy the quantity of FRNs to catch up with the required point on the underlying monetary creation curve that must be satisfied like a rigid secret foundational law of this system based on the underlying mathematics. But this Ponzi has its limit. The wall approaches.

This camp believes that the fed and all central banks must beabolished. Most people nowadays tend to this opinion.

There were numerous variables at play. Ms. Wong is a truly exceptional guest. However, the interview could have been clearer and more engaging if it had shifted from a reliance on document reading to a more interactive approach. It appeared that the interview did not proceed as planned, with the topics being overly broad and diverse. As a dedicated Bloomberg subscriber and terminal user, I found the presentation of data and opinions to lack clarity.

Why did house prices double? Many give the same reasons as she does. Immigration, remote work, and a shortage. They leave out the obvious key reason. The cost to finance a home was cut in half in early 2020. The prices doubled soon thereafter. When you look at rooftops per head, we dont have a major shortage at all. We had a surplus in cheap financing, and therefore a surge in speculation, so now we have an artificially created home shortage, not a natural one. A great way to test this is... without the covid stimulus and rate slash, would house prices have done what they did between 2020 and 2022? No, they wouldn't have. Therefore, they key reason for house prices by far was the stimulation and super low rates sparking over speculation.
