where are all the banks ragers like me in the crowd and at the 2 III tour shows ive been to so far?? i feel so bad, jillian and her ghosty gals and band are performing the friggen HELLL out of this venue and i just wish everyone was screaming her lyrics with her, dancing and raging truly showing the immense repect and appreciation this incredibly talented goddess deserves
That's one of the major downfalls of festivals compared to specific shows, more casual fans and people who are just there waiting for the next act or something.
I’ve never seen someone so emotionally connected to their music. She feels and speaks through music in order to understand what she’s even feeling. Hearing Till Now live really gives me chills through the whole song. Jillian is SO incredible. She’s a rare gem and we must protect her at all costs.
Seeing her in Brooklyn a few weeks ago changed my life. She is truly an astounding artist who puts on an amazing show every single time. Jillian Banks is a treasure. 💜
Love how good her voice sounds and I love that she went for a more minimal vocal production. Definitely stands out compared to so many singers who get drowned out by their backing tracks
I recently saw her in Denver I miss her so much. I lost all my videos of her concert because I got a new phone and I’m so sad but I was happy I found this!
I feel like they had this setlist for the specific crowd (the hits) so more would know the songs, maybe? I was also pretty sad she didn't play others from iii, too. I imagine in her own tour she'd play all of them, and the crowd would just get it.
First of all why did they schedule her set for probably the hottest time of the day?! And this was Atlanta last week so I know it was probably like 98 degrees out there. So all the people in the sun were trying to not over exert themselves for fear of getting a heat stroke probably. For Banks type of music it does better when it’s dusk or getting dark outside, not in the bright sun. Second of all, a majority of the people that went to this were high schoolers. I’m guessing Banks true fans are no longer in high school ..... Third of all, why didn’t she sing goddess. That’s like her number one hit, if anyone knows about Banks, if they only know one song, it’s Goddess.
That's the only "issue" I've ran across with attending her shows is her set lists. She's excluded some of the best songs she's ever created in my opinion😭
I was there and I had only heard a few of Banks songs beforehand and so I wasn’t sure what I was in for but I was SO surprised!! She’s so talented and mesmerizing! She turned me into a fan
@@eviemace950 Yes I am, thanks. Just to reiterate, I love her and her songs. I just don't think that this was a stellar performance. Blame it on the time, the city and the heat. I still watched the whole thing and ended up singing and dancing with her 🤷🏽♂️
not only was it VERY hot, (believe me, i was there) she was also sick and i believe she cancelled the show right after this one. but she still had a lot of energy and put on an amazing show and i’d do anything to see her live again :)
@@sydneecantley7342 I believe you! I think I heard that she had to cancel a show at that time. Anyway, I still listen to her songs all the time and follow her on social media. I love this woman. Doesn't mean I think this specific performance was as amazing as it could have been, had she been in better shape and had the weather been better. In general, I like what she does but she could sing better live. That's all I'm saying.
Iqbal Schumy Palard could you give examples of her lower register?? i’ve never heard of tht before and i just looked it up and it seems very interesting!!
@@hyacinth_ia ive never really heard female singers with perfect lower register, its quite rare actually, they usually loves to show off their higher note which is normal for female, but Banks has deep and raspy lower tone, thats why i love her voice. Try listen to gemini feed, the studio version, before the last bridge, she's doing vocal harmony, you'd hear it cleary there, her voice goes high and then low in the background
I felt she was kind of loose at the beggining and she turn it up until Alaska. Her voice got better at the very middle. Kinda sad for me 'cause I love underdog :( still love banks
Albert Elliot de Lira It’s a city festival, they are known for attracting “Chads” and “Brads” basically not her fan base. I saw her at a festival and then at a venue last week on the III Tour, absolute opposite experiences. The energy and crowd engagement was far better at the venue compared to the festival, we actually were all fans of BANKS in the venue.
Albert Elliot de Lira hello! I was there and a few of us came to see Banks! I sang my heart out and cried so many times! But it was clear that most of the crowd was here for Lizzo later that night. I did my part seeing my fave though!
Bitchology When I saw her in 2015, most of the crowd was actually there to see The Weeknd who was after her set. There were barricade campers who had been there all day. But funny part is BANKS and The Weeknd used to tour together, but the crowd clearly didn’t know who she was because no one was singing or really engaged with her at all. People were just standing there talking the entire time.
I was there and def the crowd was there for Lizzo, but also like half the area in front of the stage was for GA+ or VIP, so like that crowd was a lot less hype or not filled up everywhere I went.
I realized the visual for stroke was playing in the background and that immediately made me think of the weeknd singing kiss land live back in 2013 lmaooo
Honestly, I was there for this performance and I had no idea who she was I was just genuinely curious and I couldn't keep my eyes off of her the entire performance. I listen to her all the time now lmao
Mano se isso fosse no brasil, ia nem dar pra ouvir a voz dela de tanto q a gente ia gritar! Imagina num lollapalooza, ela ia entrar pra história! Banks come to BRAZIIIIL
