I love how her sleeves cover her hands. Like, that's such a common thing anxious people do to feel more comfortable and I'm so glad she doesn't try to hide it.

I've never seen anyone control their vibrato with their jaw. I've only seen people control their runs like that... It's quite interesting! Living for it though
I've always thought that was so interesting about BANKS technique. It looks effortless. The way her vibrato is more "sheep-like", and I mean that in the best way, I assumed she used the back of her throat way more to force the sound yet it looks like that's naturally what her vibrato sounds like. It's crazy.
You don't control your vibrato with your jaw. She is just quivering her jaw along with the vibrato she is already doing. ;) My choir teacher told us that in high school.
@@amyzzz9681 This is incorrect. BANKS is changing the shape of the sound that comes out of her mouth by manipulating her lip movements. This is because she is using her throat to sing. This is a common technique used in pop and and RnB. Opera singers who use the diaphragm to sing use vibrato to control their ability to project and sing louder without hurting their voice. BANKS is not doing that--but that doesn't mean she's not extremely talented, it's just a different style of voice.
You just blew my mind. I've never been able to acquire that fast vibrato. I'm wondering if I need to sing more incorrectly through my throat, lol. My vibrato is slower.
