This looked pretty good. I played a few days until leadership 90 but then it plateaued. Apparently there was an event that yielded more exp that's over now. Now it pretty much sucks as progress is painfully slow. We calculated to get a decent army size we have to kill 40k bandits that only come in stacks of 60 for some reason; and you can believe me I am not going to fight 666 battles.
@@wynaut16 Bannerlord is great, the Online Version... not so much but it depends on your own preference. It's a mod and it is free so if you own the game you can try it out.
I'm just saying if a random ass Russian dev can make this. What's stopping TWs doing this with a staff of 200+?? Keep kicking ass, Storm. You're running circles around those dopes.
TW isn’t busy with the “Online” side of the game, they pretty much look for further updates on the “Singleplayer” mode and left opensource stuff for the “Multiplayer” side so people/modders can do this kinda stuff in their servers.
@@uwuuwu2221 that still doesn’t matter? They are modders and the designs etc. what they are using are still from TW, the modders are just using their tools with their own made modules yes, but those things still doesn’t mean TW should make an mmo, atleast we are lucky they share opensource stuff so modders can also use it for their own projects/servers, like we can see in RP servers and BO..
@@NeelixMasterit does. Guess you don’t understand how mods are developed, especially for this game. Most of the mods couldn’t even start without TW. Only when their special files and mods tools were released, then they started to appear. I remember not a lot of mods for Bannerlord which started before the bannerlord tw tools. That’s the fact. Guess you are salty and kinda jealous of BO and mods who started before even this crap. It needs a lot of skills. No jokes. Get better at your development skills, brotha.
UPDATE: TWICE they deleted/hid my comment on this, so I'm reposting. Also banned me on discord. Not a good look guys. Nice video! Just want to provide the perspective of someone who's been following BO since early 2021 to early 2023, with 900+ hours in the mod. I'm sharing this for the purpose of informing new players what to expect from this mod and its dev team, especially if you intend on supporting it financially, so as to avoid the feeling of being let down or misled. The first thing to understand is that there is only 1 full-time software developer on this mod, and absolutely 0 plans to expand the dev team. While it's certainly impressive to have developed so much with such a small team, it also means there are (obviously) significant limitations as to the development and growth of the mod. This dev is certainly talented, but it still means any content, bug-fixes, balance, or player feedback takes months to implement. Another such issue is project management. There being only one dev, if anything goes not according to plan, there is no one else to help pick up the slack or to make up for it. This affects update schedules, and the overall development pace of the mod. Further, this particular dev is... not the best at planning and managing expectations, to say the least. The main consequence of that is there are missing features upon release of every update. Yes, in every single major content update to this mod, there has been at least one missing feature that was explicitly mentioned or announced, that has failed to make it in. Sometimes it's small, sometimes it's big, but this happens every time, without fail, even after delaying the update release. This results in a malicious cycle: 0. Long period of waiting for update, no major changes or content added for months (longest was ~8 months) 1. New shiny features and content promised in order to drum up hype and to keep people interested in the mod 2. Update is delayed 3. Update releases with missing or broken features 4. You feel happy because there is finally some new content 5. You are disappointed once you realize they failed to deliver and promises were broken 6. Repeat Those familiar with this cycle will recognize its alarming nature. At best, it is incompetence. At worst, malicious abuse and manipulation of players' emotions. Additionally the lead dev has demonstrated lacking technical design knowledge to adequately account for scaling and futureproof design. There are several instances of technical design decisions that were made early on that later had to be changed (added technical debt), and took months to implement. He admitted standalone servers weren't implemented until over 2 full years into the mod because "there was no idea about the internal structure of bannerlord". The lead dev is also quoted saying he would have taken several months to design a database-based audit-logging system ahead of time, and that the in-memory audit log "worked fine all the time until it became huge". Those in software should know this is quite an embarrassing admission coming from the lead dev of an MMO, where accounting for large amounts of users and scaling is of utmost importance. Finally, I wish to share some predictions in regard to this update based off of my experience: 1. Both of these updates will be delayed by at least one month. In other words, expect the first update to be announced to come in September, likely in a partial state, and then add one month onto that. Sieges in particular are likely to be delayed by a full year. 2. At least one feature or mechanic shown in this video will be GUARANTEED missing/unimplemented, or broken/buggy/"disabled". The feature will likely never be properly implemented. 3. Any feedback or balancing in regard to these updates will take several months to be reflected in the game. 4. Once both the updates are released, there will be no new content update for the mod for several months. Instead, the dev will take time to resolve technical debt accrued. I would happily welcome the devs to break the cycle, deliver their promises, and prove me wrong. At the end of the day, that's all we want.
Dude, you sound like a kid who is upset that he got Nintendo Switch OLED for Christmas but the game that came along with it is Splatoons instead of Splatoons 2. This is a free, fan-made mod. Yes, the dev could hire more people with the money he's made and yes there are missing features here or there, but: 1) he can do what he pleases in regards to choices of what areas he focuses on and what not. That's not to say that constructive feedback isn't welcome, but your written memoire comes off as a sweaty neckbeard who needs a reality check about the situation. 2) he has zero obligation to continue working on it since, and I can't stress it enough, this is a fan-made mod for an existing game. 3) your own summary is extremely vague, not bringing out specific features that he is either constantly postponing or even any one that he has missed the "deadline" on (see "1)" above for further info). 4) as you put it yourself, he is working on it alone, so I recommend forgetting about the game for a good amount of time and then coming back later on instead of hounding the solo dev and proving publicly to the internet how you need to touch grass as this random mod is apparently affecting your emotions in a severe way.
