Is a pride know that three virtuous Chilean musicians are playing with the master Billy Cobham: they are Emilio García (guitar), Victor Cisternas (bass) and Jorge Vera (piano). Great !!!🤠💪
I think y’ all should scale that down to the top 5. With all those albums he wrote. This IS THE Legend! Nice performance Billy, listening to you from dad since I was 2 years old. Spectrum. Wow!
Man, Billy sounds so great! One of the truly great pioneers...always a great drumming influence. Listening to him still reminds me of why I love to play drums!
@@hoksane I saw that - Rome 2004. I think its still Uploaded. That show was NUTS. Especially Victor, May He Rest In Peace.. Even still, these guys may not be legends - yet ( Save Billy) but they are On Fire And Smokin' 🔥. Not to mention, if I'm not mistaken this is The B.C. post hip replacement surgery at 78 years old ! And he's layin' into those TAMA's like Ronald Reagan is still in office LOL ! And TOURING - The World !... The Legend Continues...🥁🐂
I've been fortunate enough to see Billy live a couple of times and even participate in a drum clinic with him. One of the best ever--I love his work, especially with Mahavishnu and his "unconventional" set-up/style (along with those of Bill Bruford and Simon Phillips) has helped me to open up different approaches to my own playing.
Aways flawless and amazing! Impeccable performance given by all. I've been a lifelong fan of BC since the age of 10, never disappointed! I appreciate and respect the world class musicianship of them all. Great performance!!!
For all of us right-handed drummers, this is how you learn to play left-handed. I kind of did. Alot of cross brain exercises. And a heck of a lot of concentration.
I know that Steve Hamilton on keyboards He been with Billy for awhile now. Billy always brings top notch players with him. The piano player got serious skills. The entire band is killer
All of these musicians have a God given ability to Mesmerize an audience to make someone wish they could play an instrument as these musicians do it's just so moving so entertaining so I don't have the words to even keep playing I love it thank you for all they enjoyment you give us
Saw the "G.O.A.T." ' ( and former alumni from our H.S of Music & Art) in Oct at Sony Hall in NYC, and although Billy has scaled it back since his monstrous previous decades of influential drumming, I still dont think any drummer would dare challenge this human being.
Im glad he got a professional lineup for this one, last time pretty recently at some club the lineup seemed like rookies and made Billy sound un-pro. But Im happy to see a big big big difference here, these guys are pro. Billy and this band sound impeccable !! Wait....and Billy's Tama's sound fabulous !! Although I did notice that they are all sight reading except for Billy.
don't count Billy's years these are times and eras some like Miles are eternal that from before the world * не му бройте годините на Били това са времена и ери някои като Майлс са вечни че и от преди света
Wow these guys are great. Very tight and interesting. I saw Billy many times back in the 70’s with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Nobody ever had his sound.
Absolute perfection, unbelievable the precision/timing of his sticks when they hit the drums... and he leads the other musicians to the same perfection... In those drummer magazines they are more fixated on metal and hard rock, otherwise they would have given him the title of one of the very best drummers of all time...
Je pense que ce musicien est unique et très polyvalent en terme de maîtrise de son art particulier . Il allié la virtuosité à une extrême sensibilité musicale et un goût prononcé pour le show..
Excellent musicians. ..Billy Cobham..co. Billy Cobham -drums Emilio Garcia -guitar Victor Cisternas- bass Steve Hamilton -Keyboards Jorge Aguilera- Keyboard
Oh this is fcking one tight sound.just excellent and thanks for sharing..Seen Cobham twice..way back in the day lol.Mahavishnu 73 Newcastle City Hall UK and Newcastle Poly 75ish.He's in that handful of drummers Tony Williams, Ginger Baker,Frank Katz(Brand X-after Collins),Lenny White,Carl Palmer too name but a few, that changed the concept of modern drumming as an add.🪘👍
Man O Man ! You Sure play damn hot blues without much fanfare. Your small band produces some heavy Rock Blues. And who's the sexy lady playing Bass ? She's a Barbie Doll. Good luck to you all.
He's simply a drumming prodigy and always has been! The Father of Fusion hasn't missed a beat (so to speak) even at 78 - He's now 80 as of May 16 which happens to be my birthday as well so at least I have that in common with him!! He's always been at the top of my list of influences and inspirations on the drums coming up as a teenager in the early 70's! He set the bar so high!! Was feared by other great drummers! So good to see him still going after all these years and great achievements!
Billy is by no means one of the grand masters of the drums. Yeah. We know the mahavishnu orchestra. And he will be idol to many drummers around the world for decades. So. Respect.
Greatest man in history, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today🙏🏻. His name is Jesus.❤
У барабанщика очень странно звучит малый барабан, будто это бубен. И звучит он очень навязчиво. Да и звучание все ударной установки довольно - таки странное, и оно не вписывается в звучание всего ансамбля.
BILLY COBHAM BAND. Emilio Garcia - guitar, Victor Cisternas - bass, Steve Hamilton - keyboards, Jorge Aguilera - keyboards. Copied it from above, should be in the description.
!st time I saw Billy was back in the 70's at a live Mahavishnu Orchestra concert. Blew me away! Been following him ever since. He is without a doubt..One of the best..ever done it!!
