Got this back in November of 2021. This is one of the seven I got from the lot of Silver Lines for $20 each. I have since sold one to a friend who is a non collector and this one will most likely be installed in my Dads barn as a shop fan. Reason I painted it brown is due to the fact that he doesn’t want a white fan in the barn and felt a darker fan would look better which I agreed. Looking to find a fan for that space I was going to go with a Hampton Bay Industrial in black but when I came across the seven Silver Lines I knew this would be better. Since these come in a brown finish I wanted to get it as close as possible to the actual brown finish these use. The paint finish is called dark walnut by Rust Oleum and I am very pleased with how it came out. Looks factory and I’d recommend it for anyone wanting to paint a industrial brown and give it that vintage look. This one wasn’t in that rough of shape compared to a few of the other Silver Lines I got from the lot. This one had some paint loss on the motor and the sticker with the Banvil/Envirofan logo was faded. I stripped the paint down to the bare metal and custom made a new Envirofan logo sticker for the fan. The blades had some rust on them but I was able to paint them without any issue. The blades are a little bent but it lol probably use a mallet to straighten them out a bit more before it is installed. From what I saw with all of the 7 Silver Lines, they all are from 1992, despite the seller saying he got them around 2010/2011. Doesn’t matter to me as they still run fine. The seller had them in several different shops before moving into a smaller shop that already had two installed so he decided to sell the nine he bought. I got the seven he still had as the other two he sold went to Tots16. These are a good option for a light duty industrial fan. I’d recommend them for stores and other commercial applications over the gold line in terms of price point. They aren’t nearly as powerful as a Gold Line but are still a solid product from Envirofan and definitely a reliable fan. For more industrial use or something to really move a lot of air the Gold Line is the better option. These are still great fans for the price and definitely one of the better industrials being sold to this day along with the Gold Line. Very glad with how this came out and plan on getting the other five I still have restored as well. Enjoy!
