I just want to say, at 9:16 we can see that you're holding the camera in your hands but the movement is exceedingly smooth. Even going down the stairs.. it's like flowing down with no jarring movement. Fantastic work and your fans appreciate all the effort you put into your videos. Great work!

I love Bangkok. I lived there before, my apartment near Siam Paragon, and have stayed in many, many hotels over the years. I have yet to stay at Banyan Tree, perhaps this winter on my way back to Siem Reap, from Mexico… both places where I now live. One thing that is so great about Bangkok… you arrived at the airport after midnight and drove into the city, making it close to 1:00 AM… and pulling into the hotel there are people dressed up and going out for a late night, which is totally normal in Bangkok. Going out AFTER midnight is totally normal. Love it! Great video, btw.

Stayed here for 1 night about 2 years ago as a "treat" to ourselves. Best hotel I have ever stayed in! Can't wait to come back here one day! Rooms are so comfortable and cozy and service is incredible!

I heard from somewhere that the general manager of this place Nopparat Aumpa had insulted tourists and refused their business, when being told they waited 4 hours for their fancy one bite meal she said "no problem because you are not welcome" a little weird if you ask me...

You're talking about RU-vid streamer Ice Poseidon and his minions. They were behaving terribly in the hotel restaurant. The manager confronted them and dealt with them appropriately. Whilst visiting another country respect their laws, culture and traditions. Fair play to Ice Poseidon as he publicly apologised to the manager

While I lived n worked in Bangkok I dined various times at Vertigo n Moon Bar. Fully agree to your comments that it is the worlds best n most impressive hotel rooftop venue. Now back in Germany I miss it a lot. Although I never slept at Banyan Tree (I am loyal guest at Mandarin Oriental BKK) I still dine at least once or twice on each Bangkok trip at Vertigo/Moon Bar!

Wonderful once again ! I stayed there a short time ago whilst conducting an IT seminar in the nearby business district. I agree with all of of your subtitle comments. Incidentally, the eggs Benedict were the best I have ever had.

It's another gem in Bangkok hotels. What a stunning views from all over, the day and night skyline is awesome,, mesmerizing. The sky gardens and pool areas are beautiful. The rooftop moon bar exceptional with all amenities, from their a great view of the concrete skyscrapers both at night and day. Special mention of bathroom where the gray marbles with greenish wall color, it soothes. Awesome property indeed.

Great Hotel. I have stayed several times at Club Floor Suites, that comes with free 30min neck massage upon arrival, and separate breakfast- and snack area if you which. Very nice!. Highly recommended Hotel!

Great video. I stayed here for four nights in Feb as part of our honeymoon. Amazing service and a free suite upgrade. A great documentation of this fantastic hotel. I loved the virtego moon bar ;) will be back again soon x

Right near the start of the video, I see MY idea of luxury; a comfy chair with footstool, AND a box of tea!!! I think that Saffron Sky Garden would become my fave place in Bangkok, if I ever visited. Lovely visuals. I had to grin when I saw the toddler coming out from behind the lobby area bar.

Very nice review as always but regarding Banyan bkk, even if this hotel is great and the staff polite and courteous, it have a lack of atmosphere , the pool is too small and vertigo offers a stunning view food is ok but expensive and they push you out to get more customers.. Quite industrial for me. I had been twice there but i think you can find better places for the money in busy bangkok.. Thank you for the great job

Excellent review. And yes, I agree, Banyan Tree Bangkok has one of the most spectacular rooftops in the world. However, Kempinski Siam in Bangkok is a much more luxurious place. Even better than Mandarin Oriental imho.

Nice video; beautiful hotel; dumb question: what do they do when it rains? Their signature restaurant and bar are open-air and it rains a lot in Bangkok in certain seasons. Do they just close those venues on rainy nights?

stunning rooftop, just sublime. its a shame about the crazy prices. 21:53 $27 USD for a crab cake? $52 USD for scallops? $36 USD for a salad? i dont mind paying but this is being ripped off.

We went last December in Bangkok and we had dinner here at the vertigo. We spend $500 on dinner for 2 people. The view is beautiful but the food is not worth that much money. Food at the night markets are better and cheaper. I would not recommend. If you really want to go, just fo for a drink and enjoy the view.

After dining with friends at our favorite 8-table Thai restaurant in Berkeley and stuffing myself with a huge portion of Pad Kee Mow, along with a generous pour of Chardonnay, I was more than ready for a visit to Bangkok. The Banyan Tree is a beautiful hotel and I am overwhelmed by Bangkok! Was that the little red suitcase's final appearance? :-( As always, another wonderful video by Dr. LTE.

I shall keep an eye out for "blue". I have a red yarn "pom pom" on my little black Samsonite so I can easily find it on the luggage carousel ;-) One of the wheels cracked and fell off of my suitcase so I replaced it with a roller blade wheel, which works quite nicely.

The manager Nooparat Aumpa is the most unprofessional person I've seen in a business establishment. She stated that she doesn't care about her customers, nor about the bad restaurant service which costed them 500$. Please fire her asap, as a GM she is a disgrace to the well established chain of hotels of the banayan tree.

Hahaha.....precisely at 9:16 you have partially given away your valued privacy!! Moreover, you have documented that you are a 'nervous flyer'. I presume heights are not an issue (yes, I'm aware they are two different things). For me, the reverse is true, I could never enjoy that Australian Tomahawk Steak up on the 61st. I'd be a mess half way up in the elevator. Great video as per usual!

Lovely rooftop, but I could probably never go up there. I get motion sickness in high buildings. I feel them move so strongly that I'm sick for the rest of the day. Probably something to do with the inner ear. I'm also terribly afraid of heights and would be on my hands and knees anyway (weirdly, I don't get scared or sick on aeroplanes or mountains, though). 🤣 So, no favorite rooftops. 😁

I think it’s not a problem. For some yes, but usually it’s fine. Let me explain, don’t you ever get comfortable enough with friends or family that you can jut shut up, don’t talk and still enjoy the company without being awkward? Especially when you hang out together so often you are usually up to date on the others life anyway. When I go out with friends to eat we spend a lot of time on the phone and casually talk bout something, of course when we eating we put our phones away. It’s not being unsociable it’s being comfortable and just enjoy the companionship not going out to eat alone in a restaurant for example
