Bao Bao panda cub to be separated from mother at National Zoo 

Its amazing how these women talk with no feelings at all knowing how they suffer separation !

Aww, she still seems so little! It's amazing pandas dont realize how adorable they really are. If Bao Bao were my cub, I'd never want to separate! She'd be my forever teddy bear!

Mei Xiang is a great mom in the past 20 years and she gave birth to a baby in this year but her mental state is really not well after delivery until today. No love is greater than maternal love even just animals. Although Mei Xiang is elder but she always does her best to entertain everyone in the Smithsonian's national zoo , doesn't it? I never saw any zookeeper to take special care for her and only stole her child for medical exam when she ate meals. She fears losing her child after she lost Bei Bei. Smithsonian's national zoo often gave used cardboard boxes and baskets dipped in honey for Mei Xiang to lick and no other nutritious food like other zookeepers of other countries give apples, carrots and wowo tou for giant pandas every day. In the zoos of other coutries, the panda zookeepers would give the baby panda human care to make mom panda relax and eat delicious food but SNZ never did . Mei Xiang sometimes makes abnormal sounds loudly we all worried about her but SNZ ignored it. Every baby panda depend on mother to survive but humen in SNZ almost not treat Mei Xiang as a human but only a tool for biological research. Please SNZ to give well treatment for giant pandas there. The South Korea is your model to take care of giant pandas if they are 6-star and SNZ will be 1-star that poor standard and not professional at all.

That's too sad to separate them. They are so cruel.

Here after learning that Mei Xiang's new cub is male. That makes Bao Bao the only princess.

wild Panda cubs normally live with Panda mother only for 18 months, so the national zoo did it right

CBS should do a follow-up to this story, and see how distraught both the mother and baby panda are, after having been forced to separate, and why. Look at how Bao Bao cried and crawled at the wall today to find her mother and how she stayed up in a tree, her safe place, until after 2AM the other night/morning. Her mother seems depressed as well.

Not deal, ownership they own all the panda's. I am sure it there rule book that is being followed. When you look at China raising the pandas the love and touch they give is something so different then they allow them to do here. Anyway glad there off the endangered list.They truly are precious animals.

Yes, you can donate to a newborn panda and no name, name of donations for the pandas in the zoo can see the panda donor's name, was donated panda can't be taken away, it will be in the zoo.

Bei Bei at 18 months and very attached to his mommy, was still nursing every evening when he was PERMANENTLY SEPARATED FOREVER from her on 2/28/17. SNZ was even more CRUEL AND HEARTLESS in the case of Bei's separation than Bao Bao's separation. I am beyond outraged and disappointed with SNZ.

When will China give us our pandas back? Possibly never. ):

More tax dollars for like programs, less for junkies, food stamps, and welfare moms.
