God gives us all gifts. He gives many gifts, of many types. God is love. Jesus is God and is our Savior and his work was the greatest act of mercy and sacrifice ever imagined or ever done and by a perfect man. Holy spirit moves like the wind you don’t know where it came from you don’t know where it’s going. I’ve been blessed in my own life with much mercy and forgiveness from our Lord and Savior. I haven’t had a exuberant experience of being baptized in fire of Holy Spirit necessarily but I have felt joy rise up in my heart in my chest and in my being and I knew God was near very near. He filled me with a confident sense of peace that helped me greatly in future life trials. If our Catholic brothers and sisters are seeking this gift and experience of the Holy Spirit then let’s be glad for them and for us that they are on fire for God. If it’s a work of God it will last and if it’s not it won’t.
The question is - how do you know whether you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit? I know I have received the Holy Spirit in my baptism and my confirmation (the laying on of hands happened then.) But how do I know if it's "fully" released? Sometimes I look at the faults and failings that still exist in my life and think, well, those show that I am not living the life God intended for me, so I have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Other times I look at moments of my life where my faith and my prayer life and my desire to witness were so obviously kicked into overdrive by the Holy Spirit, and I think "I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit." But how can you know? Is it like, "if you've prayed for it then you've received it, don't worry if you didn't fall down or speak in tongues"? Or is it like "if it happened you would not be able to doubt it, so if you doubt it then it hasn't happened"?
Check out 21:30 in the video. Fr. Dave Pivonka talks about what kind of things happen when you have been baptized. Note that whether you have or you haven't, the Holy Spirit comes over and over again. Have someone pray with you, or go into the quiet of your room (if you have it;D) and ask. Just say, "Come Holy Spirit." Maybe you can put on some praise and worship. Just tell God what you want, tell Him you want more.
This file is not loading. Every other segment is fine this seems to be corrupted on RU-vid. I need to use RU-vid to place it on my play list to run through a projector and speaker. Could you please load it again?
What did he say at 8:58 ?"I prayed in TONGUES!!" This is not Catholic teaching. This whole series is very protestant and Catholics should be wary of it.
@@alhilford2345 A better question is where in the bible does it say, it's wrong? Or that it's a bad thing to speak in tongues? Psalm 96 NIV. Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. Amen!
@@ronedee : The "speaking in tongues" that you read about in the Book of Acts was a specific incident when the Apostles were given the gift, the miraculous ability, to speak in their own Aramaic language and yet be heard and understood by people of many different languages and dialects. There have been rare instances of this occurring at other times when necessary. The "tongues" that Charismatics are so fond of are unintelligible gibberish! An exorcist will confirm that this behavior is one of the signs of demonic posession. Considering that at the time of Lucifer's rebellion, one third of the angels were swept out of Heaven, how can you be sure that these "gifts" are coming from the Holy Spirit and not from a demonic spirit?
@@ronedee : "...where in the Bible does it say..."... I realise now that you are probably a non-Catholic following Sola Scriptura, so I reiterate, this series is not authentic Catholic teaching.
Wow , I have searched for videos on the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and Fire for so long now and my desire grows bigger and bigger each time. I love this video and am truly blessed. Be blessed too .
There is Power in The Holy Spirit! The Best thing is GOD wants to use us to let The Holy Spirit heal, speak in tongues, interpret tongues, and prophesy through us.✝️🕊❤️🙏🏻
Important question... How we know that this baptizm of Holy Spirit is caming from God or Devil? People obsessed by Devil can also speak in tongues. Devil is a big liar and he try to confuse as by doing miracles. So how to recognize it?
In Scripture, Jesus tells us "A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will know them by their fruits." (Matt 7:15-20) Someone who has truly experienced this grace of baptism in the Holy Spirit will bear much fruit for the glory of God's kingdom. If there is no fruit at all, and especially if the individual is participating in satanic practices, then you can bet that their so-called experience of receiving baptism in the Holy Spirit isn't legit. Feel free to check out the book "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" by the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services Doctrinal Commision. An excellent book on the subject of baptism in the Holy Spirit and an easy read! Also "The Spiritual Gifts Handbook" by Mary Healy and Randy Clark is fantastic as well.
Thank you for this Segment. I love the testimonies and the insight of this new found insight. Initiated into the Holy Catholic Church but wasn’t aware of this particular teaching. I thought it was the Sacrament of Baptism & Confirmation. Praise God for this new found knowledge. Looking forward to learn more and finally be Re-AWAKEN.
Excellent! Thank you Father for bringing these segments of the Wild Goose to us. This one on the Holy Spirit really touched me, as lately, I have come to realize how important he is in my life. I call on him every day and ask for his gifts and advise. I ask him to keep me safe as I go about my way and he does. Come Holy Spirit Come!!!
It is a beautiful experience, the Holy Spirit has been with us since our baptism again thru confirmation, the sacraments, keeps us strong in our faith, in love with Jesus, In love with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. The thing is some people Are not careful and they leave the catholic faith They leave the true church to follow the protestant faith. Big mistake. They leave Jesus true presence In the Holy Eucharist, The true church.🕊🔥✝️🙏💞😇
Man I wish I could find some real charismatic Catholics in Detroit area. The Holy Spirit has seemingly left town. I’ve been going to some Protestant churches lately…
I feel sorry that you would put your trust in mere man and not Jesus who died so your relationship could be restored to a personal relationship with Him. He was beaten beyond recognition more than any other man on earth for you to know Him personally.
you are a protestant heretic, as you make quite clear. if these things are your religion; see to it; I will not join you in your grave error. over the years I have seen many a man whoop & holler & fall to the ground, saying they have the holy spirit but in the end it didn't amount to nothin but a lot of emotional gushing. If I had a nickel for every kid who feels things, well I would have a fancy meet'n hall as well.
AND the Scriptures say...Matthew 3:11. Scripture is our authority not man’s denominational beliefs. The Scripture clearly states ‘He will baptize you with the HOLY SPIRIT and fire.
