I think you are totally off when it comes to the mamasans. I have been there many many times (since '89) and always hit up the mamasans. I make sure to buy them drinks and talk friendly with them. They are 95% of the time going to get you what you want and be upfront with you. With only a certain amount of time on vacation, why waste it guessing. I have had extremely good luck with mamasans and will continue to do so. Let me add about the Koreans. Yeah, they might manage well but unfortunately, they (and the Chinese before) are the ones that are destroying Walking Street. The prices have jumped up considerably over the years. I personally don't mind it too much but you can tell with the lack of tourists. With the prices that have increased over the years, Thailand is a much better choice for the money hands down. BUT, I'm loyal to the Philippines!
Thailand has a much higher STD rate than PH. Also, their girls don't get the weekly hygiene checks. Also, I hear they are pulling their pants up to leave as soon as you finish. No GFE. Filipinas run circles around Thai girls
