By all accounts that is true. He is also an experienced prosecutor. Most of his resume as a defense attny. seems to be centered on getting fellow MAGA folks like Manafort's indictments dismissed.

Mr. Blanche's main experience is as a Federal prosecutor. Federal prosecutions most often resolve in plea deals and thus there is much less trial experience than there would be in State prosecutions. In my opinion, @kylecarney2149 is correct. Mr. Blanche is a very good attorney but may not have been the best attorney for this particular case. Trump's micromanagement is a huge factor. You don't need a client punching holes in the lifeboat while the attorney's strategy is to make it to shore safely. And, in any case, the lifeboat may not have been seaworthy to begin with but you try to do the best with what you've got.

You gotta listen to the client. OJ told all his lawyers what's what when he got off and you cannot name an example to dispute that.

Blanche doesn't have a lot of defense lawyer experience. He's a former prosecutor.

There are laws about how the campaign funds can and cannot be used. There are also laws against false entries in the accounting for those funds. That's all easy to look up. No human can recall simply all their memories, especially if they are not material/relevant to the case. I'll get on the phone with our IT support and have them block it for you." 5 Seconds MC: "Thanks!
