I don't know why the video left this out, but while Barbados is 52nd richest in the world, Bahamas is 32nd richest. Also, Bahamas has the highest GDP per capita of any black-majority country in the world.
At least Bahamians aren't cocky like their neighbour to their south(the island south of Cuba)I'm Bajan and I don't ever check for who is richer than who.we are all beautiful in our own rights.we should all unite as a people of colour and shared history..I hope to visit Bahamas some day.nuff love to Bahamas
That GDP is a false representation of wealth. It includes the income of all those foreign billionaire & millionaires who make their homes in the Bahamas to avoid taxes and enjoy the mild climate. Do not be fooled.
I am Bahamian currently living in the US. As a young boy growing up in the Bahamas, one of my teachers was from Barbados. He was a great teacher (Math) and mentor to us. Barbados looks like it has many similarities to the Bahamas. I would definitely like to visit there in the future.
Why did you all move to the US? I guess I'm trying to figure out why people leave these beautiful countries? I would love to move there, but I'm thinking something must be wrong if people from there are leaving.
Thats not tru, us Bahamians don't hate anyone but when someone else comes into our country and try to act and sometimes even say that they are better than us, that's how issues happen...
You mean Bahamians hate people who try to come to their country illegally. And doesn’t put into their community and wants everything free on demand because their country Haiti is failing?
bet u didnt see the attractions LOL u missed out u porb stayed in a hotel (hotels in barbados are amazing) and u prob use the tourist rout for bahamas so its rigged
Great video. In the thumbnail however the photo on the right is of my country Barbados 🇧🇧 and the photo on left is probably Bahamas. Big up to my Caribbean people of the Bahamas. Hope to visit someday. I'm very proud of what the entire Caribbean has accomplished so far given our history and also want to see Haiti rise again. Also... manufacturing in Barbados has declined significantly since the 1970s and 1980s.
I had the privilege to visit Barbados. It's a wonderful country. As it was mentioned, the Caribbean country is very organized, clean and safe. It's very civilized.
@@elliebrown181I'll have to agree. I'm bahamian the fact that we're next to the usa. The influenced by the Americans is strong In every way included crime.Yes our beaches, and Nassau etc are beautiful, but culturally we are heavily influenced.
Make a video about the Dominican Republic and Haití. Most of CARICOM and Europeans and Americans believe that they are the same countries, Haití and CARICOM blame the Dominican Republic for Haiti's problems and say that Dominican Republic is a racist country. Most of them should know about the history of both countries and they are not the same!!!
@johnnygutierrez9928 Two different countries on the same Island of Hispaniola that borders each other.. One is Spanish speaking from Spanish colonization, and the other one is French speaking from France past colonization.. The Dominican portion of the Island has more European racial admixture with their Black and native Taino ancestry, while the Haitian portion of the Island has LESS white European ancestry and resembles the sub Saharan African phenotype.. Both nations are POOR as HELL, but the Dominican portion is doing much better Financially. Just a bunch of LIGHT & DARKER skin Negro people hating on each other due to the different colors of their skin, while white racists are enjoying watching them fight over who has the lighter and darker skin colors
Do a 🇰🇳 st kitts & nevis and 🇦🇬Antigua & Barbuda Please!. I visited the Bahamas and Barbados. The Bahamas has many smaller beautiful islands. Crime is ridiculously high, to many jamaicans, and Dominicans DR: Barbados i would prefer it feels way more Caribbean than the Bahamas. Barbados has the best people and friendliest Caribbean people I've met. Bahamas has many casinos and is more Americanized even in speech. Barbados has a stronger African accent and they have a smooth way with words. But two👍🏿👍🏿up to both.
We don’t speak like no Americans, and what do you mean by we have too many Jamaicans and Dominicans, what’s wrong with that?? They are still black people
@@Beautybizz28 No one is jealous of Jamaica. We are all unique but very much alike. It's time we Caribbean people stop this crap, Live and let live and while we're at it just enjoy what precious time we have on earth without being so insular.
Some inaccurate information is that Barbados and the Bahamas have the same literacy rate. NOOOO. Barbados' literacy rate is way higher than the Bahamas.
@@animalranger7768 I’m not sure where you’re getting your information, but according to the official website of the government of the Bahamas, the literacy rate is over 95%…hardly lower than Barbados.
@@animalranger7768 I don't know what number sense you have in your world, but 99 is not "way higher" than the 96. It's barely a noticeable difference. What is a much more noticeable difference is the GDP per capita in the Bahamas at over $27,000 vs. Barbados' $17,000.
