In a special edition of #FILMTALK, we pay tribute to the much loved star of the Carry On films and more recently EastEnders on the BBC. We're joined by author and film historian Morris Bright MBE, a close friend of Barbara and her husband Scott.
Morris talks about the richness and diversity of her career, the special affection she had for her fans and her bravery battling against Alzheimer's in her final years.

She was a legend! There's not many Carry on stars left now. Jim Dale and Leslie Philips are still alive as well as a few others.

It's funny how people can effect you, when the camera pans round in Cor Blimey to reveal Babs sat there in place of the actress playing her it reduces me to rubble, floods of tears every time, I've no idea why, maybe it's the sudden intrusion of real life from the fantasy, the knowledge of hurt in juxta with the joy they're known for, either way RIP Babs x
