well done mark on a smashing fish and in good nick ,have you ever gone to the river in summer with a big fishing net having an hour or two catching fry,,its good fun but it gives an idea of whats in the river and the numbers .we had a go a few years back and dace and roach were what we mostly had along with tiny chub,,but we had about 9 brown trout fry they were a bit bigger we had know idea they were in there,,its nice to see how healthy the river is ,shallow slacks is the place to find them ,,,,any way mark well done and until your next adventure down by the water tight lines,,
Hey there Stephen, hope you are keeping well mate! Yes i have done in the past, in fact i used to love summer float fishing on the Loddon for bit and pieces it was most enjoyable and certainly something i should as you rightly say get back into.
Well done again Mark , your bait tweaks are a real edge ,I've had some great results too on a similar tweak to my winter base mix , couple of cheese powders with yeast and added spices and it smells like bacon frazzles ( if you're old enough to remember them crisps) . Carp love it as well as the barbel on the Trent . Your little intimate river stretches are to die for mate . LONG may they remain hidden from the masses and keep your passion alive. Great to see the regular videos mate ..Top work and tight lines fella... Steve M
Your videos inspire me to try river fishing, ive never done it and would love to learn more, hence your channel is gold for someone like me, your knowledge is beyond measure. Carping is so monotonous on a lake. Would love a trip down to barbel populated waters.
@@francolinobasco hard work to find the fish but the wildlife alone is worth being there. I regularly see kingfishers, otter, deer & even seen a badger on his way home early in the morning.
Love your vids. I’m a rdaa member that has a baby due in the next few weeks. So I’m on the river at the moment just doing evenings as I can’t do the carp session as I could get the call that baby is on the way. Definitely struggling hope to pick up some tips from your vids.
Cheers Ryan and hope the birth goes well and safely, hopefully a new fisher person coming into the household! Cheers mate and hope the videos are of some help.
Great looking barbel & nice to see a bait-dropper being used to prepare a swim. I'm interested to know why you used a bait-dropper instead of the balled ground bait that you have used in your other videos.
In the words of a certain angler who shall remain unnamed," Don't they hang on!". Cracking barbel Mark. A 15lb 15oz came out of the Royalty the other day.
I have one of those Angling Direct rods myself, never caught anything with it 😭 hopefully this coming weekend !!! 1.3/4 lbs tc.....unbelievable amount of power for such a short rod !!! I just wish it also came with an Avon top 👍👍👍
Cracking fish awesome seeing fish in such great condition and health Wonderful video as Always Mate!! Mark may I ask what you use for your recording your videos I’m wanting to purchase something and wondered if you could recommend any equipment for filming..photography and lighting any advice would be Very Much appreciated.
Hey there mate, hope you are keeping well? I use a few different cameras but my most used is a dji osmo action camera, its waterproof, gives decent video and it's compact. For lighting i use a Litra Torch 2.0.
@@francolinobasco hi. Yes, likewise, though I do really like the dv and probably use it more than I should! I really enjoy your videos. Perhaps you could do one about your birdseed mix? What is it and how do you prepare it etc. I think it's something that could work well on my local waters. Keep up the good wok. Tight lines..
