Danny - great vid as usual - some lovely fish - that Chub was a corker! Funny how you mentioned your Chub being taken by Mr. Pike! - had my first lure session today on the Upper Lea - 1 Perch and 3 pike - nothing big, but decent jacks. I think you may have misconstrued my comment re your Carp session - I wasn't knocking you - I could watch you fish in a bath! - my comments on Commercials and gaining angling knowledge were a personal thing. You are one of the few who target all sorts of species - you are a credit to this great sport of ours!

I just came back from the danery today thinking what I have I done wrong, well I sat on big baits all day....this video has helped me reflect and next time I will use smaller baits to start, also I notice you use more natural coloured baits is this part of plan rather than brighter groundbaits and pellets that might be more red in colour? Great video!!

Not really more of an insight on one more then other because if you get taps you know there’s smaller fish in the swim and the other the only reason you hooking up to them is because your using a smaller bait

I go past that part of the river Nr the Attingham stately home most days but never fished it. Great to see you river fishing again and learning much from you .Tight lines Danny

Cracking vblog, oh yes river fishing for barbel, two rod set up exactly how I setup to fish for them. What a lovely session well worth the 1 hr and 20 mins drive, I've spent many an evening session on the Ribble, fishing light and using a flask, no time to brew up, in my eyes this is old school.
