So apparently the message of this song is about 911, specifically about how the generation who haven’t experienced it will look at it with indifference (even if their trying). And honestly, given what I know about these movies, that message still holds up with this.

I love how well this works. Like, this song is about 9/11 and whatever, but the song talks about how the things we build will be destroyed, just like the Twin Towers, just like the fat man bomb, and just like the patriarchy in Barbie Land. (This sentence is genuinely fucking hilarious if Barbenheimer didn’t happen. Like holy shit.)
