I love the story Ryan told about the guy who had been dumped and was watching "I'm Just Ken" and it made him feel better because maybe she was just on a different journey and it wasn't about him. That take on the song and story was new to me.

Great work from great team! Congrats!!! Yet Margot is the One that can't stop to amaze me. Watching her in interviews I'm more impressed from her own character and personality than from the screen characters she plays. She is great actress and even greater person. Her inner beauty outpaces the stunning look and the unbeatable face and body cards. Her loving, inspiring and carrying leadership is the spirit, soul and embodiment of the project and it's success. While living in Moore, OK, I worked several Christmases in the 1980s at Toys R Us, but my funniest memory regarding Barbie happened when I was working in Toys at Walmart Christmas about 2005. We opened a carton of Malibu Barbies, and one had her bathing suit top up around her neck. We kept putting her in the front on the shelf and customers kept hiding her in the back. Finally, just before Christmas I bought that doll to be used as a dirty Santa gift for a family drawing. I think one of my nephews ended up with the doll. The only thing worse than stocking Barbie was stocking Cabbage Patch Kids. People would destroy the area everyday trying to find one with the same birthday as the child who was getting it, same hair, eye and skin color or the same name.

Margot Robbie was snubbed for a Best Actress nomination. Her performance was moving, nuanced, poignant, soulful, and entrancing. Yet, we got Annette Bening and Lily Gladstone. Margot can easily replace Annette.

Imagine in a Barbie Sequel or maybe a Ken movie, and if one of them is a musical if they’re interested, imagine if Cillian Murphy gets cast as a human verison of Ken who is Sasha’s teacher and is in love with Margot’s Barbie (who’s a human now and goes by Barbara Handler). Also, I think Emma Stone should get cast as another kind of Barbie who falls in love with Ryan’s Ken. Also I think Timothee Chalamet should get cast as another kind of Ken soon.

I am a proud weird Barbie and Ken maker, although I was too old for Barbie. On a Halloween where I worked my daughter and I did a haunted Barbie house and eventually I put the Barbies in a birdcage. We display it every Halloween. I did the costumes and she did the hair and make-up. I entered it in the Oklahoma State Fair and had a good time watching people's reactions and found it funny at the number of women who thought I had committed some kind of sacrilege. All of the Barbies were rescued nude at thrift stores. There is a werewolf Barbie, a Medusa, Bride of Frankenstein, Bride of Dracula and a Mummy Mommy in a cute red apron with hearts and holding a Cuisinart with a spider in it. I am still working on a Ken birdcage using the people my brother did in drag while raising money for an AIDS clinic in Houston. He passed away in 2011. He had a waitress called Trixie Truckstop and she will be serving his most beloved character, Patsy Cline and Norah Desmond. He also did Madeline Kahn's character in Blazing Saddles, but there is no room for her. I have made a lot of Barbie clothes for my daughter and my granddaughter.

We will all hope that Ruth Handler didn't give birth to Kenneth for him to worship Barbara.

Erm, that's absolute bull about the story in Scottish pub. There's no guy that would watch the Barbie movie unless they were dragged there by their daughter's! Not one would say a cultural moment and Barbie in the same sentence. They wouldn't even think it, never mind say it out loud. It was a preachathon and I'd imagine people who did see it were annoyed they paid for the ticket. As a female who grew up with Barbie (and Cindy!) they had a real opportunity to do something good with this movie but failed I'm afraid...
