Love the bathroom and the blue accents. I absolutely love the floating shelves and wooden baskets, however, I would add some folded towels to one of those shelves.

I was doing all this in my mid 30s 40 years ago and still doing it !!! In my 70s 😳😂 Please help me find those light bulbs I so want an easy way of lighting up my doll house room without chasing batteries and new lights !!! I love your videos ❤❤❤ You even gave me ideas !!! I had run out of ideas!!

I have been doing it for a long time too :) still love it :) for the bulbs, search on amazon for party lights bulbs, paper lantern bulbs etc... thank you so much :) i have a few more thrift videos and then i'm back to more dioramas and dollhouse makeovers :)

Ginger, I love this bathroom. You are soooooo talented. I always learn something new to do when I watch your videos. Today I learned how to make the stool for the shower. It was simple, but something I had never thought of doing that way. It is toooo cute. I also love how you always paint with no gloves and never get paint on your house. When I paint I always get paint everywhere- on me, my hands, the floor, the kitchen table, etc. I make a BIG mess with paint!!! You always do it perfectly!!! (ja, ja) Ps I notice you have on gloves as you stain the round piece for your mirror. It looks great. Do you keep your doll dioramas/ rooms/ houses that you make? Or do you re-make the rooms/ houses as you go? How do you store? I have a bedroom that is large and I use half the room for my doll room. That 1/2 houses 15 doll houses. So once I get to 10 doll houses (Barbie size - 1/6 scale) then I give some of the doll houses away to my friends children and grandchildren. That allows me to build more Barbie houses. I build from MDF and cardboard boxes. You build from foam boards. I imagine your storage is easier than mine. One of mine I built of cardboard boxes with 9 rooms is the Sept-Tours Castle from "A Discovery of Witches". It is BIG and takes up a lot of space. This one I will never get ride of. It is beautiful, and I put all the characters in it from my Barbies and Kens. Yes, your bathroom is beautiful. I love it!!!

Hi Sharon, thank you so much :) so far I have kept everything, do you know those boxes that hold foam board at the dollar store, i have seen some that were empty or almost empty and I asked the dollar store manager if i could keep them, and they work great for the cardboard walls i use in dioramas, all my dollhouses are stored in a small closet, i have only finished one, nope, actually two, weird, feels like i've been doing this for a long time, but just recently started doing makeovers, when i made diorama sets before and dollhouse makeovers, it was for a doll series i created with my niece, we don't do it anymore, so now i do them for me, i love designing .... we don't have a lot of young kids in my family, i may try to sell them when i finish them, or maybe i'll do another series, i don't want them to be stored away and forgotten, they should be either used for entertainment or be enjoyed by children... i think all things should have a purpose :) omg i would love to visit your home :) i live in a small apartment, it would be a dream to have everything set up and so much easier to create videos as well :) thank you so much for watching and commenting, you always inspire me and i love having someone to talk to about this :) have an awesome day my friend :)

@@GingerLolaMiniatures I have nothing but grandsons. My grandsons tell me when I die, "the Barbies are outta here." I say "Save them for your children." And they say the world is a really bad place and they will not be having children. I hope they change their minds, but, I respect their view points. They are grown men. That's why I give my doll houses away to my friend's little girls and granddaughters. I use to worry about what would happen to my Barbies and Kens when I die. I do not worry anymore. I have a friend who has a little girl who is 4 years old. I consider that little girl my granddaughter. I told my grandsons make sure my little "Bella" gets the dolls. So, hopefully they will. She enjoys playing Barbie. And she is the smartest little girl. You should try to sell your dioramas. They would definitely sell easily. You do a great job with utilizing foamboards to build your Barbie houses. I get my BIG boxes from Office Depot and they are strong and steady. Very durable for what I use them for. I am currently working on a 2 story Barbie house for a friend's little 9 year old girl. The theme to her Barbie house is Lilo and Stitch. Her favorite cartoon. Everything is pinks and purples. It is turning out beautifully. I looked on Pinterest and found a Stitch bed- the headboard is a surfboard and the bed is made of faux leaves. So, that is the bed I am working on with Lilo and Stitch bedding. I made a dresser with faux drawers that look like a picture of Stitch. The living room and dining room are regular pink Barbie furniture by Mattel, but with the Lilo and Stitch accents. It is coming together. Ps I finished my Alice In Wonderland Steampunked Cottage. I love it!!! I have clocks everywhere in it. Lots of sepia. Lots of maps. Lots of Victorian accented furniture.Have fun!

that's so sad.... i'm sure they'll make sure your collection goes to a good home if you ask them to :) i'm hoping my niece will have kids soon, but she's only 23 and not married :) i'm not sure about selling the dioramas, but i'm thinking i'll try selling the dollhouses after i finish giving them makeovers :) I'm so happy you found me here on youtube, it's so nice to have someone to talk to about our hobby, there's really no one else in my life that gets it :) thank you again for being my friend :) xo

How about using a black marker or paint pen to fill in the grout? Might make it easier.

I tried that but it was messy as well, it's not a smooth finish, i think the best way to get the best results is painting the bricks white and then applying them, but i am trying to think of another way :)

I saw a trick where someone meased out the strips of straight egg cartom and laid them out on paper glued them down vertically then cut them across horizontally then painted them glued them in strips offcentered and then grouted them. It cut placement time time to like half because it was so uniformed and assembly lined.

Yes, I have been collecting them for awhile, plus asked some family members to collect too, but they take up so much room, and there's really not that much 'meat' in those cartons, so it takes a lot of them.... the wine box inserts are definitely better :)

@@GingerLolaMiniatures You are a devoted miniature artist, we art and craft people are little crazy sometimes to others. I’m like you, I love making things and I want to make some miniatures. I had some pizza boxes that were clean and I cut off the lids and had them in my bedroom and my daughter came in the other day and she said, “Why do you have pizza boxes in your room, you are such a pack rat!” I said it’s just the lids and they are clean heavy cardboard and I’m going to make something with them.” She shook her head and was muttering something as she walked away, she doesn’t share my desire to create things. I know she thinks her old mother is crazy but her daughter likes creating and I thought her and I might make some miniatures.

lol, you can't pass up strong cardboard :) i'm always rummaging through families recycling bins :) i wished my niece was also into crafting, i think my mistake was making everything for her to surprise her instead of getting her involved in crafting with me :) but too late for that, she's all grown up and not much time to hang out with me, but she's super smart and i'm so proud of her :)

@@GingerLolaMiniatures How old is she, maybe if she gets married and would happen to have a baby girl maybe she would want to learn how her Aunt makes all of these wonderful things. I started trying to make doll clothes when I was 8 years old because a little girl across the street had contracted polio at the age of 3 years old and one leg didn’t grow and she had to learn how to walk with crutches, I played with her because I felt sorry for her and I went to a Catholic school where they empathized how we should always be nice to others especially people who were less fortunate than us. She had an aunt that made her the most beautiful satin baby doll clothes I had every seen trimmed with lace and ribbon and appliqués. My mom never made anything and my grandmother would give me a button box,needle and thread and a piece of fabric to practice sewing on buttons. I loved doing that and it kept me entertained for hours, soon I tried sewing a skirt for my doll and a bra top and I said it was a swimming suit because I didn’t have enough fabric to do anything else, then I tried making some other things for my Miss Revlon doll, my mom refused to buy me a Barbie doll because she thought she looked weird, but if I would have got one of those first Barbie’s I could have sold it for big money but nobody was interest in the Miss Revlon, she was actually cute because she came in a white bra and girdle which was like real women wore, they were supposed to be Playtex. I took two years of sewing in high school and I learned how to sew clothes for myself. After I got married at 18 in 1965 I had a baby girl and I sewing for her all of the

she turned 23 last week, she has a long time boyfriend, so i'm hoping for wedding bells, but she is starting law school in the fall, so she might be busy :) i know she does want to have kids, so that's a good thing, she's my only niece so all my hopes and dreams are on her :) gotta pass down all the stuff i made for my niece to her kids, i kept one of the paper mache 1/12 scale dollhouses just for that :) wow, you are awesome and so sweet :) i'm sure that little girl really appreciated your friendship :) my sister is 8 years younger than me, so i used to make her a lot of things when we were young, of course my skills and supplies were not the greatest, my grandmothers were crafty, one crocheted doilies and the other knitted purses, i still have one i display. my mom not so much, so i think i have my grandmothers to thank for their creativity :) sewing is one thing i wished i paid more attention to in highschool, unfortunately i went through a hard time in high school and skipped a lot of classes, knowing to sew would really help raise my crafting game, but i am intimiated by the sewing machine, i did purchase a tiny one a couple of years ago i wanted to sew on a video, but haven't even tried it yet, i really should get it out of the closet :) wow you were so young getting married at 18, my mom married at 19 also in 1965 :)

Γεια, συμπεριλάβετε τη χρονική σήμανση του λευκού πράγματος για το οποίο μιλάτε. Στην πραγματικότητα χρησιμοποιώ ίντσες περισσότερες από εκατοστά... το μέγεθος του τούβλου είναι 1/4 x 1". Θέλω οπωσδήποτε να δοκιμάσω την πολτοποίηση, πρόσφατα πέταξα τα περισσότερα από τα χαρτοκιβώτια των αυγών μου, καταλάμβαναν πολύ χώρο, χρησιμοποιώ ένθετα κουτιού κρασιού τώρα για τούβλα. yah.... either i need to load up on more layers of cardboard, or try a different material, i like using the foam board because it's easy to cut, and its a smoother finish than the cardboard :)
