To me with the space Discovery set I'm getting the vibe that is basically a little playground for Chelsea to play in the backyard and pretend she's in space with her puppy but I don't even know what to say about that dreamtopia playset
Yeah I was kind of excited about that set (the entire space discovery series with Stacie, Skipper, and Barbie too) because when I was kid I loved to go the the local planetarium and learn about space. I personally never went as far as wanting to actually, seriously go to space but it’s a nice set.

Dreamtopia is Chelsea's imagination right? that takes care of all the logical fallacies in its design LOL While the space camp definitely feels more like a bedroom with play elements vs. an actual space ship fantasy
Dreamtopia being Chelsea's imagination actually makes a LOT more sense. I think most of us probably imagined/dreamed up some pretty wild stuff as kids.
Or puppies imagination. Ever wonder why canines howl at moon. ? Yes, kids do torture their pets. My Goddaughter had her jacket, lunch, and Jack the Cat by the tail, ready for preschool. Perfect 👌
This is my favourite barbie era for the dolls omg. They are so beautiful and I’m starting to collect them. I’m really not interested in any other doll lines.
The sad truth is Barbies hay day has gone and passed. It’s really said that just a few short years ago she was the “It” Doll of the doll world and now she’s nothing more than a joke wearing cheap clothes that look like they are from a dollar store. I look around at my Barbie collection(which are mostly 90’s and prior) and relish on how perfect the dolls were when I was a kid and how I wish Mattel would do right by her and make her the “It” Doll again. But on another note, as usual I LOVED you’re video.

As someone who grew up in the 90s with Barbie and watched the changes that happened, and knows other things about Barbie and friends history, I get tons of amusement out of the Life in the Dreamhouse series on Netflix. THE JOKES. Midge shows up but can't move well because she's single-jointed until getting a makeover. Chelsea complaining about being called "Kelly" at times.

barbie is definitely appealing to a younger demographic of late... glad the kiddos got it but I'm super disappointed with the loss of maturity in the movies
I think it was like ‘the lost tea party’ from Alice in wonderland but a Barbie twist , ‘Barbie and the lost birthday’. Idk I can’t keep help think it was a Alice in wonderland inspired because their colors are bright and wacky
I think these dolls are meant to inspire kids imagination, they're not necessarily meant to follow the limitations real life physics. There have been many studies that show how important it is to encourage kids to use their imagination to think outside of the box, because it can improve problem-solving skills, as well as encourage empathy, as well as many other interesting things.
I remember when you and Kaiden reviewed the jump on the horse barbie and the barbie with that weird dog that poops and it had a weird pink thing on the side of the dog that you put the food into haha I laughed so hard at those!!
To be fair during lockdown/ quarantine most days are blurring into one another. Maybe that was why they lost the birthday? Its the current situation that caused that.

Barbie is getting awfully weird. I have a new Fresh Doll (Lexi), and I love her. The Fresh Dolls have much better quality clothing than Barbie does, too. I'm sorry, but pets on a zip line is psychotic.
@@fennyellis3366 She did at some point. I think the Fresh Dolls sent her some dolls to review. I don't regret buying Lexi at all. I like her articulation and head sculpt a lot, and like I said, the quality of the clothing is really impressive. I really hope the Fresh Dolls do well and expand some.

The Barbie Dreamtopia Mermaid playground isn’t new, I bought it for my niece in October 2019 Also I don’t feel like toys have to be accurate to the real world, we can’t beam into space but Star Trek is pretty cool right?? Maybe there is a world somewhere where all the animals are vegans & live in piece?! 😋 Toys would be pretty boring if they only reflected what humans have already done or can do, it’s fun to see what might be done or even just the fancies of imagination. I’m kinda surprised your a fan of Alice in Wonderland but are so critical on the Barbie toys Or are you actually laughing while your editing & this is a joke 😸 the way your describing everything girl I’m dying 😹😹🎀😋💜🍭

Chelsea loses her birthday because her family is traveling on a cruise ship and they “skip” the date of her birthday when they cross the International Dateline, so Chelsea goes on an adventure to try to get her birthday back. From what I’ve read, the movie sounds pretty ridiculous in a fun way. Also, you can see elephants on the beach in Thailand!

The lost Birthday: Yes i agree that its kinda weird that they show that wild Animals could be Pets. Kids should educate early on that wild Animals are not Pets and that they have to be treaded right. Space Discovery: I don´t see a Problem in this set besides the Helmet for the Dog. This is just a Rocket themed Playground and Chelsea is just play pretend with some probs. Mermaid Playground: I think you overthinking this! ^^ Thing of Spongbob. They have Fire under water. Ariels City Atlantica has Gates.
I think you are taking it too seriously and overthinking it. Its about imagination play. There are many other situations that parents can use play for learning. Sometimes nonsense is ok, they are children. Let them enjoy their imaginations. I love your content, but I feel like in this video you are reaching. One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was the 1978 The Water Babies. They have underwater playgrounds. :-) It's just play.

Barbie is just adapting to battle with the other cartoons and interests of today's kids. I think it's neat. If we could mesh 80s/90s barbies physical bodies and the way playsets were made with this imagination of today? Bonus!

I don't think kids play sets have to make sense really. It's important to keep peoples imagination engaged (ofc some peoples imagination looks different than others). I think these are cool sets and maybe people are just thinking them too much, haha 😂 When I was a kid animals spoke and every animal on the planet lived in same space and did human things. In my plays fairies and mages lived in normal non fantasy worlds. It's just for fun. Ofc it's not real and even as a kid I understood that

The lost birthday concept is basically the whole barbie fam is on a bday cruise, but then they cross the international dateline where you lose a day and that day just so happens to be her birthday. Then Chelsea decides to waltz of the ship to a magic jungle island to find a wishing gem, and then she finds talking animals, and....yeah go watch the movie.
You need to watch the movie its cute the family goes on a cruise and their cruise is a bad guy pushes all the clocks ahead so there made to think they missed her birthday. Chelsea gets upset about her missing birthday she runs off and gets lost and has an adventure finding her way back she meets 3 animals who sound and act like her sisters they help her find her way back we find out the adventure she has was a dream the animals that help her were her stuff animals and they find out what the guy did and he gets in trouble. Me and my daughter love barbie and the barbie movies. Dreamtopia is chelsea's imagination so logic goes out the window its important for a child to use and have imagination that's what matters also go watch the movie you'll like it.
When I was a child I didn't question fire under the sea in Spongebob, because it was a condition of a fantasy world to me. Children have a different logic, I guess.

Also they have done two movies with like the princess and pauper theme where barbie switches places with like a rockstar or an actual princess its been done way too many times. Also have to watch the lost puppy movie before this one. They're saying the lost birthday is Chelsea first starring role in a movie yet she's had a whole series on youtube where she's the main character.
Classic barbie movies were where things right with the world, lately barbie movies have really lame plots that are only centred around the tv series life in the dreamhouse and there’s no real creativity

Lol...Hi mommy.😅😂I think these toys were made by kids ,not adults .I remember when I was a kid ,my best friend was always trying to put her dog on the playground swings ,esp the big swing that had like a picnic bench seat .The dog would jump off as soon as she put it on.Also , I'm thinking the Lost birthday Barbie is taking the idea from that TV show Lost ,idk. I think the creators really don't have much of a clue when it comes to what kids will like.
