James Eagleman - I have recently been watching your videos - they are second to none - Top-Tier - Thanks for your generosity to share & must say - your school MUST be the MOST Educating !! Thanks Again Sir.
AWESOME! I searched years for footage of "long range" gel-block ballistic tests . Thank you guys! PLEASE do all calibers ;o) Like that content you put out there is UNIQUE GOLD.
Barbourcreek tests Sierra Game Changer Bullets at 600 yards, in 20% Gel They will be good for deep penetration, similar to the Hornady eldx Bullets, though the Hornady was much easier to get good accuracy with
Barbourcreek Long Range Shooting School and Long Range Hunting I have found the exact opposite, I had a good load within 50 rounds with the game changer, still haven’t found one with the eldx that matches it. Btw what caliber was this?
from what i have seen with the gamechanger, it is far to "hard" of a bullet for longer range hunting or in a lower velocity round. I have however, been extremely impressed with the Sierra TMK. Near identical performance on game to the ELD-M.
Looking for a new modern bullet for my 7mm Weatherby since partitions which it seem are the only bullet people load in this round and they are no where to be found. Would this bullet hold up a 3100 muzzle velocity?
I've heard that the .25-06 is underutilized! It's a FLAT shooting bullet out to 400 yards! of course, it also retains enough energy to knock down your deer or other game!!
I use the 110 AB in my 25-06. 3100fps out of a 26" barrel, 70+ whitetail kills from 30 to 447 yards and only 1 moved from the point of impact, she was on high alert, and ran less than 100 feet. Fast kills, and minimal meat damage.
Jim, quick question on your wind comments. Sounds like you said "30 degrees so 3 mph", then you said "diamond, so 1.5 mph". Can you explain that or fill in the blanks?
Kevin Watkins brother it’s what we teach in the course how to read the wind. It’s all based off the mirage angle and velocity. Love for you to come to our course so we can train you on it.
What's the chance that you'll ever test 190 gr .30 cal Sierra matchking? Or even other weights. I have a friend that has shot two elk at 500 yards with a .308 168 GMM. He claimed good results. I have shot a few deer with the 168 GMM inside a 100 and 1 Buck at 336 with the 190 GMM with great results. Also, what's your thoughts on the 195 ELDM? I guess I'm interested in some 30 caliber match ammo for hunting.
2400 fps ? That's not much if your looking to get expansion . From what you showed looks like it did its job well . Crank it on up and see what it does.
The game changers are a very hard bullet for big animals and for punching heavy bone . They will penetrate multiple walls, not what you want for home defense
I’m impressed he hit gel block with it at 600 yards lol and it held together well accurate n tough enough wound channel thing shouldn’t matter to much I don’t think
........& if you want reliable kills with reliable bullet-killing performance. - Looks like the ticket in performance......UNLIKE whorenady-explosive-bullets junk - you so much as hit cartilage & you lost the animal leaving it to die a wasted-miserable death.
