For the first time ever, music icon Barbra Streisand sat down with Ellen, and told her all about her new Netflix special, "Barbra: The Music ... the Mem'ries ... the Magic!"
I love Barbra Streisand. She is adorable and very talented artist I've ever known in my entire life. A singer, actress, songwriter, movie and concert Director, movie and concert Producer and a Filmmaker. What could you ask for more? She has everything. Love u babs❤❤❤👏👍😊
The saddest day of my life will be if Barbra passed while I'm still alive ...she has been the glue that holds me together since I was 7...I had a bone marrow transplant St the City of Hope and my requirement was that her singing would be piped into my room for 28 days....I believe she has ALWAYS been the BEST singer in each of her age groups... that's my 2cents
I’m very happy for you that Barbara has been a help but do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord only he can satisfy truly and only through him can you inherit eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
@@Mike-fp5rc When she was younger and before the unnecessary work she's had done, yes, I thought she was distinctive, gorgeous, attractive- special, that is the extraordinarily talented lady, Ms Barbra Streisand.
No arguments here. She has described herself as an odd combination of beautiful and ugly. I obviously disagree with her politics, but her extraordinary talent transcends her loony politics. There will never be another like her in our lifetimes.
Excellent interview, I just watched the 1st. Netflix show, and I loved it. You Barbra, is one of my most favorite female vocalist. Much love to you and Ellen.
BARBARA !! I love you. Been a fan for 30 years. Thanks Ellen for recognizing your fellow super icon and being so courteous. Haters can eat sh*t, maybe talk once you've worked your entire life to bring to the world as much beauty and strength as either one of these two.
Barbra asks for this and she gets it. She demands better lighting and she gets it. She wants certain flowers in her dressing room and she gets it. She wants spring water from France on her plane and she gets it. She wants the best suite in the hotel, in luscious pink, and she gets it. Why, you ask? BECAUSE SHE EARNED IT!!! She has been in show business since the 1960s. She has blessed us with her beautiful voice. She has entertained us on the silver screen with her comedic and dramatic roles. She has directed and produced three of her own movies (all beautifully, by the way). She has donated monies to charities she believes in and actively supports. She has been an inspiration to generations of girls and boys all around the world. To this day, she is a role model for anyone who is determined to succeed in anything. She does not badmouth anyone. She believes in equality for both men and women AND she has been a supporter of gay marriage. I've loved her since I was 8 years old. THE BROADWAY ALBUM was the very first cd I ever bought and I played it night and day. I hope she stays around for another 100 years!!!
@@susansmith4784 She's a perfectionist not a diva. And what is a diva anyway? Barbra gives her best in anything that she does and nobody can ever rain on her parade. She broke the barriers for a lot of opportunities for women. She encourages women to speak their minds and to believe in themselves. I just think you should know that. ☺️
The world must be thankful that there is barbra striesand and olivia newton john. The most humble kind and influential entertainer humanitarian, singer etc..the world ever had.. and both are jewish.. truly blessed..
Love Barbra and had to laugh a bit when she says that she likes to make records. An icon in the realm of Garland and no one better when she made Funny Girl!!
I'd say public success highlights insecurities actually.... every day everyone looking and judging you... letting you know whats right and especially wrong with you all the time....Just think about it, it must be horror sometimes
Noelia Jaime she’s human :) I mean Adele talks about how she gets stage fright before every performance. There’s a goodTed talk a model did and she says “I’ve been in the fashion industry for years, surrounded by gorgeous people. And they are the most insecure people I have ever met.” It’s worth watching.
Barbra to alot of people like myself is Regal, she is to America like a Queen, I know there are many who would disagree -Barbra included. Take a look at the reaction (Real, not staged) from a SNL clip called "Coffee Talk" Michael Myers, Madonna and Rosanne, their reaction when Barbra surprised them with her cameo appearance. Barbra has contributed so very much in the entertainment field, ( loved Yentl ) she will always be a legend .
She says she doesn't like performing, but I thought this was a thing of the past. More recently, she'd been saying, in concerts, that she's come to enjoy the give and take of performing, and the sharing of love, and this is what brought her back to the concert stage after saying she intended to stop live performing. She keeps saying she wants to direct a movie, and every so often it is announced that she's attached, as director, to a film project, but nothing ever comes of it. She's 75, I hope she makes it happen sometime soon!
Ellen is the only host to call out Barbra for making her switch sides, and she did it in a funny way. And yes, it appears they changed the lighting in the studio for Barbra as well.
Barbra Streisand's concert at Central Park in June 1967 was one of her greatest and most perfect appearances ever. Go for this album; it's wonderful in every aspect. Quote: "A Happening In Central Park is the first live album by Barbra Streisand. It was recorded at a live concert in Central Park in New York in June 1967 in front of an audience of 135,000 people." -- Here's a clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KmTmAccLSb4.html
So silly of Barbara to ask and seat where Ellen usually seats. But then she's the 🌟. And 75 years old!? Funny video trick with Ellen and her singing thou.
