Yes Eq. Constant can be changed by Pressure change ,temperature change, concentration change, inert gas at constant pressure.... Rate constant depends only on temp. Change but Eq. Constant depends on many factors which I mentioned above..

00:22:44 please check mam if it is answer --i guess---"if in case of a closed isolated container ,if we consider this container as a cylinder with piston & walls of this cylinder and piston are made up of insulator material and iff piston has negligible friction with walls, in this case if we push the piston very quickly we can increase the temperature of gasses filled inside the cylinder which are reacting together & the equilibrium can be shifted in this way.

First of all - Congratulations Jyoti for your 6th rank in JRF, You got a very sharp memory. I also appeared for BARC interview and now working in..But don't remember anyone from my committee. Many small things which needs to be take care parallel to your education also enlighted by u..whatever You told is correct about exam and interview..Exam is basic but interview is vertical depth. People from all the branches Org, Inorg or physical are equally accepted in BARC. Almost everything covered by Ms Jyoti ji..If any further doubt is there you can text anyone working in BARC including myself 😆😆 Ram Karan Moudgil

I have also appeared in the barc interview long back in the year 2013..though not selected.. Instead of giving a decent interview.. And in our session particularly those candidates were selected specifically who were fresh m.sc passed of that year..

Usually certificate verification takes place during interview. There are certain institutes that keep the certificates of the students till the completion of their course. In that case does BARC allow such students to take up the interview who do not have original certificates with them?

23:15 I think to Change equilibrium constant we can use catalyst that selectively change one of the rate constant by changing it's activation energy.

Hello Ms. Jyoti, Please explain in detail the concept of sigma and pi bonds to determine whether reaction is exothermic or endothermic... I am from Chemical Engineering background and want to learn this concept in detail..

The reaction is exothermic ( the energy is released ) when the product is more stable than the reactants . When the products are less stable than reactants, energy is absorbed during reaction (endothermic in this case) such that products become more energetic than reactants ....you can see this in energy profile diagram of exothermic and endothermic reactions Now , sigma bond is more stable than π bond ...so if the π bonds of reactants are finally becoming sigma bonds in product ...so the stability is basically increasing ....that is the product is more stable ( lower in energy than the reactants)... So the overall reaction is exothermic ...that is energy will be released ...since products are lesser in energy

They were using both the languages in my case ... Language isn't a barrier there...you can answer in whatever language you're comfortable in ...it's completely up to you :)

Mam N2 has 2 pi bonds in addition to 1 sigma bond so breaking bond would require energy so why not endothermic

In breaking any type of bonds , we need energy ...that's true ...but in case of endothermic or exothermic reactions , we talk about the overall energy of the reaction... If the product is more stable than reactant , energy would be released and reaction would be fast ... In exothermic reactions too , bond breaking in reactants requires energy ; but the overall energy released is greater than the overall energy required to break the bonds , hence exothermic

I got 45.33 marks in GATE 2018 ....rank 277 143 marks in BARC exam And as everybody says "it's just the interview that matters" ....I don't think high score in BARC exam or a very good rank in GATE matters since I didn't find the name of GATE 2018 Chemistry topper in the list of students who finally got selected !
