Barcelona have announced the departures of four (4) players on 30th June 2024. Three (3) of these players include Marcos Alonso, Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix whose contracts with the club have expired. However, it is expected that the club will negotiate further with Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in a bid to secure new loan deals for the portuguese duo. Another player who has also left the club is American defender Sergino Dest who returns to PSV Eindhoven after spending last season on loan at the Dutch champions. PSV initially had a buy option in the contract for Dest but decided against taking it after he tore his ACL during the latter parts of last season but have bet on him with the hope that he can make a full recovery by 2025. There will be no transfer fee paid to Barcelona but they club is entitled to a percentage of any future sale which may occur while also saving some money from the salary of the last year of his contract as well as the amortization of his transfer fee to Ajax.
Marc Guiu has also completed his move to Chelsea and has signed on a 5-year deal as the club have confirmed.
