Messi couldn’t be more correct. Players need to have a little bit of freedom to showcase their talent. Some of us fell in love with football because of magical moment from players like Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, the list is endless. In as much as I’m a Barca fan I can’t help but envy Real Madrid at times because they are not too strict in their system. That’s why players like Vini and Rodrigo get you up on your feet and give you that feeling you felt when you were a little kid.
@@notnotnownow9622 every coach has a vision what players they want in their system and this is not me saying Ronaldinho or Ibra are bad players. Pep introduced a style of play that was never seen before and it took the whole world by storm as Barca became arguably the best team in the world at the time. Now within that system did players like Iniesta or Messi who are excellent dribblers stop dribbling? No because these players are natural born dribblers. If Pep completely prevented Messi or Iniesta from dribbling then he wouldn’t have achieved so much during his time at Barca. Messi and Iniesta simply adapted to Pep’s system and they did not lose spontaneity in the slightest. Arguably the system made them even better players.
For Marc it doesn't bother me that much he knows that Flick is counting on Lewan and Roque, regarding Raphinia an offer that 80-100M from Saudi Arabia would be a good deal.
Leo is correct, youth players should be encouraged to express themselves and to be brave enough to show case their individual abilities. Formation and touch restrictions should be executed at a much older age when technique has been mastered.
I think the message Messi is trying to pass is that Barcelona can't keep playing ticki tacka football coz we don't still have those calibre of players therefore we need to evolve and play according to the strengths of our current players and I hope Barcelona fans allow Hansi flick to implement his ideas of playing football
Barca fans will finish you for saying this. Only style they know is barca style. Whenever I say that we should play differently to be competitive, there is always somebody to attack.
Technically I think he’s more fluid than Sergi Roberto. He’s a good player. Does the simple things right. I think him staying is important because knowing we’re playing 50+ matches.. we’ll need that depth. Those early Copa del Rey matches will be good for him. And in LaLiga.. we don’t need Gundo, Pedri, Gavi to play a full 90 when we’re winning 2 or 3-0.
Marc guiu scored 6 goals in 17 games he can leave. Marc Carsado lost an important game against a low rank team he needs to improve. Barcelona must have quality players not just players who claim they love the club
I Agree with Messi, even coaches in the first team forcing players into a system, that not longer exist. Example FDJ, he is not a single pivot, but we continue to force him into playing that position, and we lost maybe his bests years.
If guiu turns out to be a Torres type I blame xavi, you can’t just throw on a player, let him excite everyone, and rarely bring him back for the rest of the season He was good physically, and had pace but he just didn’t have the stats to back him up. He played like Atleticos llorrente if he were a striker, or morata
Of course I'm with Messi on his opinion Firstly, pep's Barcelona played one of the most entertaining football that has ever been played. Now he always have said himself that it was not him behind the success, he said it was strange to have all that quality players at the same time in one era and most of them from la masia. It's not happening again. And also about what football has become. Boring, machine like , even for kids unfortunately, at least till 12 years old they should be allowed to express themselves. Yeah teach them two touch or one touch football but for a short period each session. They should be expressing themselves and exploring and discovering their own unique abilities.
than why didnt xavi play him. xavi went on with squad lists with an empty player. guiu wasnt in the selection, so he prefered no one over guiu.. ur putting out speculation my man..
@@robinspiekman9916He was going to Play him this coming season it's the same thing with Yamal, Xavi introduced him to the World then never really played him again till the next season.
@@robinspiekman9916 everything pointed out Xavi had in his plans. He gave him his debut, he calls him into the team. Plus he sometimes even plays him ahead of Roque.
@@javedalle7056 thats crazyyy. Imagine having a talent who only made 2 minutes for the first team inmediatly scored to goal and gave us a chance and here u are not even giving him a chance🤣ur probably the same guy that said cubarsi isnt good enough and we shouldnt buy pedri from las palman🤣
Big mistake to let Guiu go. He is a much more polished striker than Vitor Roque, and more like a young Lewandowski. If Flick wants to recreate something like his vintage Bayern team at Barca, he should work hard to resign Guiu.
Messi didn’t mean that Pep ruined development. He’s saying that kids don’t have time to be creative and develop their skills. You can’t learn to take on a player if ur first instinct is to pass after two touches.
I agree with Messi. As a Liverpool fan, the Klopp era gave me some of the best football since the pep era of Barca. Even in his man city team in my opinion, haaland would be more lethal with more freedom. He created a system that works for him and everyone thinks they can replicate it. That's why my respect goes to coaches like ragnick, Klopp, even Sean dyche who use the players they have for the best system
Barca Athletic losing out on promotion. Mokio, like Bergvall chooses another club ahead of Barcelona. Guiu, like Natali close to leaving for a pittance. Terrible start to the week. Laporta, Deco and FC Barcelona need to get serious. These things evoke memories of Bartomeu's mismanagement of the club. I don't understand why Barcelona let promising players out for a pittance only to pay outrageous amounts for mediocres like Ferran Torres, Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer and many others.
Marc Guiu should learn from Ilaix Moriba and Xavi Simons, those two turned their back on Barcelona and really struggled after leaving like before that PSV loan, Xavi Simons looked like another wasted Talent. At Barcelona he'll have Time and Patience from the fans because he's part of the Barcelona family but anywhere else they won't care unless he perfoms.
kissing the badge and then just leaves for 6 million to go to a club that signs 100 players in one transfer window, they have 5 different strikers, why would you go
Barcelona's hands are NOT tied in the management of their youth players. Nothing has been learnt from the Club's financial mismanagement over the years. Real Madrid don't throw away their OUTSTANDING academy players away for peanuts.
We should not sell raphinha under 100million. Because he is a great utility player! He is our most energetic winger and always does critical contributions of single goals and assists to bring us up on table. If I remove Raphinhas contribution, we were not second in this season and we were not winning last season
Say what you want about Félix, but he is a player who still has that classic spontaneity and individualism of great past players like Cruyff or Stoichkov. Players like Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal too. These are the types of players I want in Barça. Eventually I'd like to see a return to a false 9 front three similar to Nico, Félix, Lamine. I'd shit and jizz in my pants by the amount of successful dribbles and missed chances 😍
There's a Ghanaian song called Mony Palava/Problem. Barca's problem is MONEY Palava. What's is the guarantee that he'll get 1st team football in Chelsea.
Marc Guiu has a really good physique like Lewa and immense tallent. I really want him to stay.. I think he is leaving because he saw what happened to Vitor Roque 😕😕😕
If you ask me Cassado and Supamendi I don't see much difference between them If you watch Cassado and Barca Atletic he is really good player he could be very important player in the future
That’s real good money, I wish Raphinha would take the deal , but we all know he won’t… Marc Guiu made the right decision to leave . Casado is good depth to have. And I stand with Messi. let the kids evolve naturally .
Raphinha HAS to stay. NO EXCUSES. He is a class player and a guarantee for us in terms of G/A. He also is the type of player we need here. He knows what it means to wear the shirt.
Guiu had more minutes than Roqe, so it makes no sense for him to leave, I would think he sees the opportunity. on the striker topic @Jamie, what do you think about Lewa playing as a sub for Poland but in Barca he plays every minute, do you think Poland's coach has a better understanding on how to use him at this stage of his career?
When Messi or any introvert talks, they will usually make sense! The quality of football has really deteriorated since the Messi / Ronaldo era. Now is all about efficiency moving the ball quickly (counter attack) to score goals rather than seeing the actual beauty essence of the game.
Bullshit...marc was a special kid..we still need him... Instead chelsea can take ferran, lenglet....why we always sell our best guys and keep the deadwood
Messi is right , children should develop their individual style of play first and then after a certain age learn about tactical play. In this way we'll get great players like Messi , Ronaldo , Neymar etc.
I think it is okay, Gueu leaving in 6 million is not a trouble. I dont see him playing in first team dynamics. So money coming in from a player who doesnt want to stay at club is a Win Win!
When I used to play i used to love playing with some freedom because I got to connect and shift into spaces that’s no one else would play in I know I could’ve gotten better if I had more time playing with more freedom up the pitch
That's why I hate laliga rule, minimum release clause so dumb 😂, other club if they have a talent kid they can boost the price, then this laliga shit rule you must predict what this kid can do and tag the price 😂
One has Won a Champions league and One hasn't so maybe Araujo and barca players should take gundogans advice instead of worrying about status in this club, maybe we'll actually start being a competitive team after that
Moving from Barca to Chelsea is a step back for any player, and usually, those who choose this route are simply not good enough. If you can't compete with 37 year old striker you better go.
You got it wrong bro. Moving to Chelsea was a smart move from him. He scored two goals in limited time... same as Victor Roque and look at the way they are treating Victor who was even purchased at a greater price... Guy, he made the best move for himself
@@dragonmz9514 I believe he think it is true. And there certainly are challenges and troubles, mainly as a legacy of the former board. I get that. But there is no reason to make bad deals and build weak teams
