What a fabulous thing the internet can be... Forget Social Media with its nastiness. Get on You tube and listen to these guys playing some understated classics with ridiculous perfection. I for one am glad that you are playing to the world tonight. BJH concerts were such a joy for me in the 70's. Peace and love from England.
Non me lo ricordavo questo meraviglioso brano Ma risentito da voi più lo ascolto e più mi emoziona Siete fantastici sia la colonna sonora che la magnifica voce di lei ❤❤❤❤
What a BEAUTIFUL interpretation of this wonderful BJH song. Reminds on Aug 30, 1980. 250,000 in front of the Reichstag in (West) Berlin. Thousands on the other side of the wall. BJH was playing into the sunset on that warm summer night, playing to the world that the wall has to disappear. Music can move something. Thank you for this version.
@@FleeshOfficial Michael you are so lucky to have been there! I would have loved to have been at that concert listening to BJH at their peak as a band...& to be in Berlin at that poignant & pivotal time amongst the winds of change... BJH ar LEGENDS!!
My life’s concert (but but only on vinyl). Should have seen Them in Denmark but John Lees fell from a stage days before and broke his hands or arm so the concert was cancelled😂.
I normally disapprove of cover versions, especially when they’re of BJH songs - but this is sublime. Get yourselves to England and come bring the house down at The Blues Bar in Harrogate.
What a talented duo u both r gabby u have a beautiful voice and celo is such a very talented musician i would love to hear u do empty rooms by gary moore i am sure u would make fabulous job of it ❤
If I can suggest another cover u would do a amazing job of would be .when a blind man cries ..but whatever u both cover is always truly amazing. Both so talented and gifted❤️👌
I have seen Barclay James harvest many times over the years and I like this better I am in tears again love you guys brilliant brilliant brilliant ♥️♥️♥️
A GREAT BAND THAT MOST PEOPLE FORGOT ABOUT, IT JUST SO HAPPENS I HAVE THIS ONE ALBUM STILL IN GREAT SHAPE. I LOVE THE WAY FLEESH REVIVES LITTLE KNOWN SONGS THAT WE AS AUDIOPHILES, OR MUSICIANS LOVE AND ARE REMINDED OF.......
What a wonderful cover of the amazing song of the artist Les Holroyd of BJH. You both are great musicians. Thank you for a fine song of Barclay James Harvest (my favorite band ever)
I wonder if Les Holroyd, who now lives in Germany, has heard this version of one of his best songs...? We used to play this song in Beirut back in the day during the War, with all the lights switched off, and turn up the volume very loud, to mask out the sounds of the bombs in the night, and sail on into the night dreaming our dreams of love & peace... What a song!!
Sweet! What years did you live in Beirut from...? I was born there and left in 1984, but returned in 87 and then fled in 89 from the insane Syrian army bombing....
@@Bobsy-c6k I was born in 71 in Beirut and lived all the war and the bloody Syrian bombing. I left to the UK in 94 then to Canada in 98. I have been a Canadian ever since. BJH's music was an amazing relief. One anecdote I have about them, when I got my first email address in the 90's I wrote to BJH telling them that my story is similar to their "Child of the Universe" . To my amazement, John Lees replied very expressively. I guess back then, not a lot of people sent them emails.
.......my lovely girlfriend sissi, she likes to see me happy and so I can listen to this fantastic song over and over and over again, and when she passes by she gives me a beautiful smile thank you very much......by the way your guitar is fanomanel.....hopefully you become a famous rockstar, the very best for you all...... welcome to the hall of fame ........
Difficile (Ô combien!) de reprendre cette chanson mythique de BJH, dont je suis un fan absolu. Un grand coup de chapeau à ces artistes, qui doivent valoir le déplacement sur scène. Vous m'avez ému. Bravo.
Once covid has blown away, there are huge audiences here in the UK (rock's motherland) who would just love to hear you guys - although you'd need at least three very accomplished session musicians to fill the holes that Celo would have to vacate to stick to that marvellous lead guitar.
I was 13 years old I think, the first time I heard this song on RTL, the night was silent ... Music has the power to bring us back exactly to place T. Great cover too
So beautiful. BJH were the first band I ever saw live (yes I'm old !!) . So many great songs, I'd love a BJH tribute cd. You guys inspire me with your talent. God bless you x
I usually do not listen to cover but I am so in love with these 2. The voice is amazing and the guitar is amazing . Good job I listen with headphones at work and love it.
Wonderful cover. Eyes of the Universe is a horribly underrated album. Even BJH never presented or gave those, mostly great, songs on the LP, the due credit they deserved. It's a big ask but how about covering the whole album in your inimitable hard rock style because BJH didn't quite nail with the hard, raw rock attack and atmosphere that you can give it? That would be amazing and well worth it for all BJH lovers, and Fleesh lovers, out there. Rock on.
Happy Easter to you all I am still listening to your music and we appreciate that so much...... we had a fantastic lunch ......and we are still listening to extraordinary music you ever heard about fleesh wow wow wow........the best for you ....greetings from Italy......un abbraccio a voi tutti ciao
You made BH to sound sow butifull, so all birds are singing, do you know how awaom perfect you are, husk love look and listen, thanks guys for this obetunety, Kis to Fleesh.

Anyone within the Music Industry would be able to offer these guys a contract? Like right now?! What are you waiting for? These guys are the next great band on Earth waiting to happen...
Worth noting: They are getting a lot of buzz on the internet for "out-Opeth-ing Opeth" with ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8YqitoYdHD0.html
I adored Barclay James Harvest for many years and bought probably 25 of their albums. This is a beautiful version of a great song from a band that eroded into ignominious fractious dissention. Such a sad ending to a one-time great band. Nice to see your tribute.
Despite the "ignominious, fractious dissention", John Lees' Barclay James Harvest are still touring and wowing audiences and are releasing a new album next year. So are Barclay James Harvest featuring Les Holroyd, although feedback and reviews suggest that JLBJH are the better band. John Lees won an award at the Classic Rock annual awards ceremony earlier this year for "Progressive Rock Visionary". I saw them in concert a few weeks ago, and it was a worthwhile, nostalgic and heart-warming experience. It would be nice to see John and Les back on the stage together, but that's about as likely as seeing the UK and the EU reunite!
And Wolly as well even he 'd already left the band when eyes was released. I grew up with this band and so happy to see such a wonderful cover with modern sound.
Agree that the song and the covers are great. But both fractions of BJH are in fact much better than BJH were in the 90s when John and Les were still playing together... so there's an upside to this
