One comment about the 214L: Even if the knockdown isn't long enough to do a super midscreen after landing, you're perfectly able to input the command for the super before landing, & it works. I've done it myself a lot of times.
this is great. i only ever played melee seriously (played MK:A [gba lol], ggst, and 3rd strike casually) and this is super helpful for learning the serious stuff. need to learn what all the block-pressure safe-on-block (is it like multishine / shieldstun?) shit is though
A bit late here, but essentially; you know how Game and Watch's shield can't protect his whole body, so a G&W player (or someone who's taken some shield damage) would have to move their shield around to block, depending on what attack they're going to get hit by? Imagine if every character had that, but you could never shield break somebody. That's how blocking works in games like DBFZ, so block pressure would essentially be the ways you'd try and go about either forcing your opponent to keep blocking so they can't go about their own gameplan, or hitting them by using various attacks that hit where their shield isn't (like a down-tilt if their shield's been moved upwards, or an aerial if it's been moved downwards.) Safe-on-block just means that your opponent can't attack you out of blocking. In Melee terms, imagine holding shield against Captain Falcon. What's going to be easier to punish, a Falcon Punch or a jab? The jab is safe on block because you probably can't drop shield and jab him back, but the Falcon Punch is unsafe on block because you can pretty much do whatever you want to him.
Idk if anyone commented this, or is it already known, but for doing the lvl 1 into SSB you can hold 7 during the super and mash the DHC, instead of holding 8 and quickly going to 4
Scaled starters are usually Lights or overheads. They are easier to land a hit with and make the combo longer so you will have to slightly adjust the combo, thus "scaling the combo down". Unscaled starters are mostly Mediums and some special moves. These can lead into a ToD
Had to make sure for a second this wasn't a joke title and thumbnail where it was actually gonna be Labcoat 21 being showed off, with how much shit she steals from Bardock
Noticed this with other character combos but how are you high enough, for example with the ender for the advanced mid screen? Okay I see, you have to do the auto combo in midair.
im a noob and i have a question.. in general most Midscreen Combos start with 2M5M -> jMLL2H when i try this on multiple character my 2h doesnt connect and i dont get why? Do i have to move foward after the jump before starting MLL2H?
Some characters just can’t, like gogeta ssb, but when u jMLL2H, u have to press forward and jump at the same time to make u jump forward and get close to him
does the first midscreen BnB still work? Im using a new controler and learning bardock at the same time. I cant get the L2Hjc to work. My friend says Im not moving my hand fast enough.
Sounds like youre not jumping towards the enemy but straight up instead. If you ARE jumping towards them and its not working, you simply need to speed up your inputs. Everything here still works.
Okay this is a really dumb question, but can someone explain to me how to get consecutive light attacks in midair without autocomboing? I know it’s basic but I just can’t work it out
Please guys can you tell me how to get 16 hits on midscreen bnb i can't do it. I get 15 with 4007 dmg maximum i tried so many times... Do i have to delay the second jM or something ?? And also sometimes i'm not high enough to do 214M
At the end during jcLL(2)L you are skipping the second hit of the jM before you smash them down, at least that's the only way I can recreate 4007 damage. Make sure to wait for both hits before you do the last Light press! As for the 214M you just need to make sure you do it fast enough after the first hit of jM, it won't connect after the second one or in longer combos
Basically is tho the patch before or at the same time as Gogeta 4 introduces many new changes to the game like adding level 2s or level 4s to certain characters, adding new system mechanics and other things that make it seem like it’s basically a new season
Man that guide, i cannot understand nothing HAHA, goes so fast, no explanation, just divided in thats this and other shit are this. Maybe one of the hardest characters for learn to me, he has so many dash and just frame last hits (hit at last thousandth of a second) is so much harder than i think. Like i said, probably one of the most harder combo characters in game (LLL dont be a combo its an autocombo). I tried like 3 hours and i cannot do no one lol. Thats not a Bardock guide, thats a higher lvl players guide HAHA. If all ppl can do this i dont deserve to play this lol. Are insane, non Life players only i mean
Learn the annotation system, that's the only thing you need to understand all of this. You can see the basic idea of it on the info graphic at 00:04, but there's multiple short videos that explain it too. If you don't understand a certain term look it up on glossary.infil.net, or simply google it. Start with the Basic Blockstring, Midscreen BnB and the Corner BnB. The rest comes once you're comfortable with those. It requires practice, this is completely normal. Just keep at it, anyone who actually tries can get these no problem.
