Through all these comments it is important to note that even though the video is imitating many of Yoko Ono's avant-garde performance art pieces, including "Cut Piece" in which audience members used scissors to cut off her clothing until she was completely naked. The video is also interspersed with various film clips of Yoko and John, which YOKO sent to the band herself to use in their video of the song. She thought it was funny and helped with their video - when Yoko was asked, she said that she liked the song but preferred, "If I Had A Million Dollars" - to me that's pretty cool.

I love the Beatles and I was watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory and had to stop and listen to it cause I thought they mentioned Yoko. It led me to here and I'm glad it did😂

These guys are great. They performed at the University of Toronto before they were famous and I remember telling myself these guys are incredibly hilarious and fun. They are gonna go far. ❤❤❤
oh, and one more point: Yoko wasn't the cause of the Beatles' breakup. She was simply a factor adding to the already growing tensions between the band members.
Didn't know the name of this song for years until I recently heard it again, I remember when it was first in Big Bang Theory and loved the track but didn't know the name
Late 60's were a pivotal time in history, so many things converged, times were changing, people were confused a bit, whole social changes were happening and I would say that John wanted to make kind of a statement and finally Yoko said yes. Of course, Yoko was not the catalyst of the Beatles' breakup, it was a strange time, leading to strange decisions. If they want to, they could have kept Beatles going, but it was not meant to be. The times that created Beatles passed away and changed to something else... We can say similar things about the Eagles, that something or other lead to the Eagles' breakup, but it takes a lot to create a super band and things change.
