I love to quilt but have not in quite a few years, and after watching you I dug out my sewing machine and dusted it off and started quilting again....so thank you for that, my days now don't seem so long any more, time just flies by....and I just found out I am going to be a grandma again....so happy days...
Today 3 girls came to my free sewing studio to make the zippered pouch. Lots of giggles and squeals of delight as they sewed their first zipper. They loved them. Next Saturday they are making a matching quilted tote bag. Thank you for the fun project and lots of laughs.
Angela, you've changed the quilting scene forever with your approach... You make quilting so much less stressful and inject a ton of youth and humor, which was SO NEEDED!!! Congrats on the two year anniversary, and my everlasting gratitude for you just being you!
What a bonnie quilt that you have made flower, so pretty in the beautiful rainbow ebbing and flowing like water or lava with the hot . colours. Thank you Crafty hugs, Norah, Central Scotland
The last two years have been amazing but I am especially thankful for a stand alone RU-vid video that you did where you talked about what you thought was important when it came to quilting. You shared a story about how your grandpa loved to collect men's ties with the intention of making them into a quilt and as he was about to die you made the quilt and laid it over him. I was incredibly moved and it gave a richer meaning to the phrase "a finished quilt is better then a perfect quilt". Since then you have continued to make approachable and exciting. You have a fan for life and I look forward to when comes next.
I really love your feathers. I am not able to do it properly but I will practice some more. I've sewed for less than a year now and so the learning curve is still very steep
I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the confidence to start quilting last year. Watching the midnight quilt show really helped me get started and you’ve taught me so much and inspire me! Happy 2 years!!!! 🎉🥳🎊
What an awesome quilt!! I am mesmerized be each and every one of your videos, Angela, as you are a master at quilting. You even make piecing seem like child's work! We all know it's not. Thank you for your humor and great smile. I am a "self taught", sometimes quilter, wishing I could be a fraction of the quilter you are. Thank you!
Gorgeous bargello pattern. I love the rainbow idea. For some reason I thought bargello quilts were complicated to put together. This was amazingly simple I think I might give it a go. Beautiful quilting as usual, feathers were definitely the right choice and a great idea for the centre
When you said that you were going to do this quilt in a feather motif, I just couldn't imagine it on a rainbow bargello. Afterward, you showed how the feathers followed and flowed in the colored sections and it was STUNNING!!!! Beautifully done once again, Angela!
Angela you’re the best. I LOVED the gift series and the zippered bags are a current obsession. I cannot say how many I’ve made but I’d say at least two dozen. I cannot believe how great they turn out and I am a total beginner. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for this year!
Love your videos. Love the bargello. Uses up my stash, prints and solids and the Oh Where did that come from. I'm a renegade! I don't line up the seams, I move the strips in HALF steps. No matching. My first ever quilt? Feathered star. Do what you love. And the Feather quilting you did made me cry. So beautiful. Thanks so much
This quilt is gorgeous and as always, watching your show always inspires me to try something new and stay in a creative groove. Thanks for all the helpful information, fun and for helping me not take myself and what I'm doing so seriously!
Dear Angela, This is a beautiful quilt! I just find the combination of the geometric pattern with the floral quilt pattern fantastic! I'll probably just sew it up as well. Many thanks for your great videos and congratulations to the anniversary. I look forward to many more years with you.
Wow! Two years of awesomeness!! I loved the cathedral window pillow. That one is second on my list of To Do. I love Bargello by the way. Once I discovered the tube method I knew I could make anything!
I’m new to quilting and to be honest only started after stumbling on your show. Love it so much and can’t wait every morning to start sewing. Enjoy every episode!
Happy Anniversary Angela! Thank you for sharing this cool quilt with us and all the quilts that you have done. I look forward to future quts that you will be doing! Love them all❤️
Happy Anniversary of 2 years. Been there with you most of that time and enjoyed every minute and every quilt. Might I say, I've come along way baby! Yes me, you were already there. You inspired me to start FMQ even though I didn't know what I was doing. Every one that sees my first quilt wants to take it home with them or be left in my will. All because of you and your tutorials. I love the colors of this bargello. It's beautiful. The quilting is the magic. It makes it perfect. Keep up the wonderful work.
Gorgeous quilt and a really beautiful feather plan! Thank you for tackling a bargello and demonstrating the tube method. Love to you and yours this Christmastime!
Happy Birthday, Anniversary and Quilting. You are such an inspiration, funny, great quilter, and close enough is good enough piecer, as you say. Love your videos, watch them over and over. Have all your books and you inspire me to continue to try my free motion quilting. May we all enjoy your humorous approach to your videos and the beautiful quilts you share. May you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.
Love your show! I started quilting 2 years ago and you were my main inspiration! Love this quilt, I would have chosen light orange or yellow thread. Thank you, hope to see you in this form for many years to come. Lots of love from Australia
Love the new gloves! I really also love the gift videos. Making the bag for my best friend for Christmas. Thanks so much for for sharing your talents. Cheers for your anniversary! 🍷🍷
Happy second anniversary to the midnight quilt show. I have loved each episode as I watched and watched and again re-watched each over the last 2 years😊 My new year resolution for 2019 now would be to try them. Gift series before year end and rest, after. Aha! That looks like a plan 😊
You’re amazingly talented!! I have interest in quilting because of your videos. To be honest, I never thought much of quilting until I came across your videos. Thanks for sharing your skills. Here’s to many many more years of the midnight quilt show!!🍾🥂
Simply gorgeous Angela! I would have done either a lavender or a creamy yellow thread for that quilt. For my current quilt I am quilting, I am using a beige thread, because there is a lot of color variation in the quilt, but there is beige in almost every piece. The quilt backing has a beige base to it as well, so it helps hide my imperfections while quilting with my domestic sewing machine. I am not so sure I should have tackled a queen-sized quilt with a 5.5" throat space.
that is so gorgeous. I will have to practice a lot before I can make something like this. Still struggeling with the starting and stopping in quilting.
Wow, Angela, that quilt turned out gorgeous! Love the feathers. I think your quilting gloves are funny. I cut off the thumb and index fingers of mine (like Christina Cameli) so I can more easily bury threads and thread needles, but yours are the opposite. :)
