Bariloche: Epic day of Photography in Patagonia

Bariloche, Argentina is simply amazing. No, Bariloche is ridiculous!
Finally, we made it to Bariloche, Argentina. And, amazingly, we were greeted by some incredible light. In fact, the sunrise light we got for our first bit of photography in Patagonia was about as good as I've ever had it. It was incredible. We woke up early on this vlog of Patagonia to shoot sunrise near Los Juncos which is a beautiful posada on the side of the lake. It was amazing. Honestly, there's no better welcome to some photography in Patagonia than we got this morning in Bariloche.
In the afternoon, we hiked up the hill to the view point above Bariloche to do some location scouting for the following morning.
The views from Cerro Campinario were incredible. No, they were ridiculous.
In the evening, we went to the Punto Panaramico which is one of the best view points in Bariloche to shoot some sunset footage.
The photography from the viewpoint of Bariloche came out brilliant. This part of Patagonia couldn't be more beautiful if it tried.

Hi, I really liked your last video I am from Bariloche and I train at the regattas club bariloche which is where you took the photos on the lake I really liked the shots and the photos they made. The reason for which I write is for a favor if I could spend a couple of photos with the dron where you see the bay and the club. Thank you very much for making Bariloche so beautiful

I guess you mean Puerto Montt, the ugly brother of Pto Varas...you should head to the tourist information center (search on Google Maps for "Servicio Nacional de Turismo") - the guys there are very helpful and you can get information, all ferry times (they have an own tiny brochure for that with a map for the whole Carretera Austral) and even detailed road maps and regional maps for free. Definitely a must! Please make sure to plan your gas accordingly as there are only certain gas stations along the road, the same goes for cash. Not many ATMs along the way!

Dana Donofrio I think he uses Sony A6000 and GH4, and gopro for vlogs and 80d and 6d for landscapes, but, i think the reason the blog has got so much better is that he's had a lot of practice in the last year! Any camera will do - looking forward to the upcoming phone vlog episode to prove this.

I actually use the GoPro 5 which does all the time lapse work in the camera. Same with the sony a6300.

Haha, sorry. I should have been clearer there. 3-stop soft ND grad by lee: amzn.to/2nYslru 3-stop hard ND grad by lee: amzn.to/2nvOfGg It was probably a stop too much. But, it's all I had.

Can you get an ND grad filter for the drone camera, or rig one up? Obviously it's a small sensor and so you get those blown out skies. It still looks great but would probably make the footage more desirable if you could balance the exposure. Maybe.

snarkishly Yes!!! I completely agree. We've got a polarizer for the Phantom 4 but no ND grad, that'll be a future purchase for sure!! Good call and thanks for the comment.

There's a company called Snake River Prototyping that makes a grad ND. It's on my shopping list. I even mentioned it while I was editing. Especially with the sun just down, it'd be so helpful.
