I am so happy I found your videos! We are Canadians and are planning to visit Patagonia (Bariloche and Ushuaia) in January. (We are in our 60s but we hiked for most of our lives, and still love to hike.) We will be finding some accommodation in Bariloche and from there go to trails. Now, in some places like Davos or Zermatt, we did not need to rent a car - in others renting a car (Azores, National parks in Norway) was a must. Is there a way to get to trailheads around Bariloche taking buses, trains, taxis - or getting car rental is a must? (I'd rather not rent cars in a country I have never been before (parking, traffic, rental of automatic cars may be an issue, don't know the rental companies) - if I have a choice.)
@@insiderargentina Thank you for your reply. We cancelled the trip in December 2023 as we were worried about the unrest in your country. (We heard Millei is a sort of Trump and Bolsonario). Are things better now? We would love to visit Argentina, but we don't want to land in the middle of strikes and street battles.
@Alex-ed8vj Hello Alex, in my opinion, Milei is not as conservative as Trump or Bolsonaro (although he is in fact on the same side), and although we were afraid there must be some civil unrest, the whole transition was very smooth. I don't think is gonna get bad in any time soon, so feel free to visit next summer!
