If you run your belt through one loop on the sheath, you can carry it at an angle, crossdraw. Works quite nicely, is very discreet, and very accessible that way. I EDC a JX-4 that way sometimes. Since you mentioned the more budget-friendly options like the Schrade and the TOPS Tibo, I'd also recommenda competitor - the Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter, which is light, stainless, has a surprisingly ample handle, great ergos and traction, and because it's FFG, slices and cuts quite well. And it's only about $30 US.

I believe DLT Trading sells some very inexpensive kydex sheaths for this knife... However I got a VERY nice sheath made by C2GFAB for one of my EDC bark rivers, he makes ones with an ulticlip for in pocket carry, which work extremely well, but I'm sure he could make whatever you'd like. Good prices too.

That Gen2 is amazing! Can’t wait to see the video on it. The jx6 looks fine, I just can’t do it. Or jx-anything. It’s a shame LTWK doesn’t make more camp muks, which looks comparable. My fixed edc would be the LTWK bushbaby in 3v.

paul greenwood because if the ban on zombie knives i figured since this is not a zombie knife it would be fine

Ah...now I understand. You're right of course that the flourescent green funky zombie knives are illegal over here. However, the existence of these hideous things just highlighted our current laws on fixed blades. Unless we are a butcher or a chef on our way to/from work (etc.) we will be arrested if found carrying any fixed blade at all. Here's a link to our laughable knife laws for your amusement..... www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives .....

Some competition, cold steel Pendleton mini in 3v ($60_$75 in the U.S.) or vg-1 ($30 U.S.), crkt mossback bird and trout, boker kwaiken fixed, spyderco street beat, LT. Wright small northern hunter and esee jg3 camp lore (the biggest here). These are small and lightweight but have a full four fingered grip that's comfortable

Did you try to sharpen this it looks like there is a microbevel or did I come like that I could be wrong it might be the light reflecting in a weird way

Definitly not in the same league as this beauty but check out the Pangolin by crkt..it's my shop knife and makes very powerful cuts and keeps the finess and handiness.

David Homan I saw that if it was in a better steel I would by it looks kinda like a izula with a big belly It would be cool to see it in a powdered steel

As many of you are probably know, there was a recent ruling by the CITT and CBSA that changes the way the CBSA will be interpreting the definition of “centrifugal knife.” As you can see here this new interpretation means that the CBSA is considering any knife that can be opened with one hand via a flipper tab or thumb stud etc. as a prohibited weapon. The odd thing about the situation is that knife law as stated in the Canadian Criminal Code has not changed. So unless the police across the country (many of whom own such knives) decide that the border agency’s decision should also affect how they enforce the criminal code, nothing should change within the country. Our current knife laws mostly treat knives as tools and intent of the user is key: if you are using a knife or threatening to use a knife as a weapon, you will get into trouble; otherwise no-one bothers you. There is a movement shaping up within the Canadian knife community to challenge the CBSA / CITT ruling. Anyone who cares about this please take a moment and fill out the link down below to a federal petition (sponsored by a MP) and other ways to support the cause. Whether you are a business or an individual, your input matters. Please take a minute to add your voice! I would urge everyone to visit the link below and support this petition: petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-1552

Bark River knives have slippery handles. This knife has no guard. The combination equals your hand sliding on to the blade (I have 3 BR knives).

Average Joe very true. That’s my biggest complaint with their knives along with the tiny handles
