Pink G10 Well the plus to thinning the herd is these knives have an excellent re-sale value! But it would be hard to let any of them go hahaha

That's exactly the thing; deciding which ones to let go of. In some sense, it would be logical to sell off the duplicates. Then again, i do have several of certain models just because I find them to be especially good knives. For my needs. Tricky business ...

Pink G10 in one way I'm envious. Purely due to how extensive your collection is! But on the other hand....I would not want to be in your shoes trying to decide which ones to part with! Yes some of the dupiactes would be slightly easier, but still no easy task. I would most certainly hang on to all 4 of the grizzlys!

We'll see what happens. They are all, or at least almost all of them, users. And I do know which ones I like to use the most, so they will be safe. But I've got to think this through. If I could only keep one knife, though, it would be the Aurora II in Desert Ironwood. I really love that one.

That is an amazing collection.. Very impressive.. If you are ever thinning the heard pls keep me in mind.. I have many fixed blade knives but all i buy now is Bark River..

Thank you! The collection has grown quite a bit since I recorded this video. I should probably make an updated video in the coming weeks. Could be an interesting watch, I guess. Also, if I do thin the herd, I'll post a reply to your comment!

You certainly have a collection for certain ... however I'm catching up with you ... 😇 Bark River does make a decent sharp and pointy... so does LT Wright, Cold Steel, William Collins, Lon Humphries, Finland and Norwegian Leuko and Puuko, and then there's a few others... btw Knives Ship Free does a good job selling Barrie's.... too.

Which handle material do you like best and would you say one type of material is lighter than any other? I ask since I am backpacker and weight is an issue; but also depend on my knife. Your thoughts? Would appreciate comments from your knife community as well on the subject.

My favorite handle material would be G10, followed by Micarta. They are equally tough, although I believe G10 to be slightly stronger/tougher/more durable. Both G10 and Micarta is easy to clean. G10 is, however, a heavier and more expensive material. Also, if you want to sandpaper your handle, be sure not to breath in G10 - really bad for your health. Oh, and Micarta will darken over time, whereas G10 will not.

Their tips are fragile, I 've seen too many broken, but generaly yeah, it's a grea bushcraft knife!!

I own something like 4 Moras and a 10 euro Bahco and I thought, that was much... lol To tell the truth. I would be happy, If I only had a Bravo 1 LT with black micarta !

What should be my first Bark River? I want a general use knife, with great ergos in the handle, that focuses on cuting performance. I don't like batoning. Bravo 1 LT, Gunny or Gunny Hunter? Aurora LT looks ok too, but I have seen many Auroras that have a broken tip. Also, 3V steel or A2? If their 3V takes time to sharpen, like D2 at 60 hrc, then I will not like it, Is it like that? Please anybody, help me decide. Thanks in advance

They are all Bark River, or made by Bark River (one Blackjack and one Ambush in this collection). I'm also waiting for two custom knives made by Dan Tope. One being a larger version of the Vidarr.

I bought my first Bark River knife the other day and must say i am a little disepointed in it. Not the best quality regarding the craftmanship. The edge is not centerd at al it's way of. The edge is not straight and they have forgot too polish the butt of the handle. i bought this at Lamnia some days ago and it was the Canadian Camp II knife in A2 steel with green micarta. Really like the design but the craftmanship is really lacking. Bought a Ontario SP 5 and a Sword Tempsky ranger bowie and they was alot better made without any flaws. How is this possible,i have heared so much good about them. They allways talk about caring for the product. Do they have too much too do,they have so many too quality check each knife several times so how can something like this slip thru. Maybe i will order one moore and see,if it is no better i will not buy any moore Bark Rivers.

Morten, you should return to Lamina or Bark River directly. They will address any issues in workmanship. Bark River wants you to have a knife you love

That probably shows, why Lamnia has lower prices? They may get factory seconds, but we can't be sure. I know, that whenever I bought a knife, from the shop that had the lowest price, I was never stisfied, whith the knife. Always it had some flaws, like yours. Who knows. I'll try to stick to "you get what you pay for". I hope you returned it and they changed yours, with a proper one.

I guess it's more than 10.000$ but then I can't do the math, because it's a LOT of knives there and that's only his Bark Rivers, 3 years ago... Well, that's what I would do, If Iwas rich! I would also build an extra room, with tons of security, to keep my knives!
