I really like small fixed blades and this looks like a good one. I recommend the BR City knife; got one with Impala handles and waiting on one with pink G10😁 Thanks for the inspiration and look forward to seeing your collection keep growing.
Good looking profile on that little beast! I really like the blade shape, and as you said ~ it should be a good slicer. Your dog Bolt resembles my dog Buddy ~ a Great Pyrenees mix. Bolt looks like a pure bred and a bit bigger than Buddy. That appears to be a well made custom knife, have fun testing it out. Cheers!
Oregon Native that is not true, two of the budget models are 1075. I like both bark rivers and LT Wright’s, both are quality blades. LT uses more a2 and 3v than anything.
I have both. I love my LT's but I think bark river might be a little more refined in mho. LT still makes a beauty knife don't get me wrong but the fit and finish on my Bark Rivers seem to be a little nicer.
Greetings Fredrik. ... Just checked out your thoughtful comments on this BRK model. ... Today, 12/17/21, a run in S-45VN dropped at DLT Trading. Alas, I didn't see a pink G-10 offering. ... Take good care my friend.
I think with a knife that small you don't have to obsess about the steel version....3V, Elmax, CruWear, CPM154, even A2 (if you keep it dry to avoid rust)...all good.
No issues so far, good edge retention, and even though I've had no problems with corrosion/rust, I still fear that from time to time ... Overall a great steel, but not replacing 3V as my non-stainless favorite steel.
@@PinkG10 3-v is a real pain in the a#% to sharpen. It def takes time to do it right. I go threw like 4 different sandpaper grits before it's ready for the strop. The strop takes the burr off but I feel it does not do much in making it any sharper. It like resists my strop. I wonder why they are using cruwear instead of 3-v.
